Classic Rock Bottom

Who are your Top 5 musicians?  It doesn't matter whether they sing or play an instrument or multiple instruments.  Genre also doesn't matter.

Keep in mind the spirit of this thread.  These would be your personal favorites.  There are no further qualifications other than that.

Your list does not have to include a drummer, singer, bassist..etc.  This Top 5 is for your favorite over all musicians, no matter what their instrument.  They can be all vocalist, it doesn't matter.

I like my list. You have a problem with it?????

Yes.  You didn't list them 1-5.

Doesn't say to! HA!

4. Eddie Van Halen

5. Tommy Shaw

1. BRIAN MAY

2. FREDDIE MERCURY

3. ROGER TAYLOR

4. GEDDY LEE

5. TY TABOR

ACE FREHLEY

ROBERT PLANT
DIAMOND DAVE
GEDDY LEE
1. Eddie Van Halen - I was always looking forward to the next VH-album (Dave-era), mostly to hear Eddie's playing.
2. John Bonham - just as important as Page in Led Zep, even though he did'nt write the songs or produced.
3. Paul McCartney - Brilliant singer and plays a lot of instruments.
4. Randy Rhoads - second best guitarist ever.
5. Dave Grohl - In top 3 of best drummers ever, but also a good singer and guitarist

My list is the Real deal.

1 - Nuno Bettencourt (one of the greatest guitar players of all time, also good singer, excellent keyboard player, writes some of the best riffs ever heard)

2 - Paul McCartney (no remark necessary)

3 - Eddie Van Halen (no remark necessary)

4 - Billy Shehan (this man can do things on a bass guitar that plenty of GREAT guitar players cant do on a six string....and he can sing some great harmony vocals)

5 - Jimi Hendrix (ground breaking guitarist, strong singer...and has anybody ever noticed how great of a lyric writer he was? "You can hear happiness standing on down the street"....indeed)

Nuno is an exellent choice.

I've just listened to Pornograffity, and it's been quite a while, since the last time.

Extreme were perhaps THE band, that suffored the most, when Grunge break, because they were on the leap to being a super-group. "3 Sides..." was one of my absolute favorites at the time, and I wonder what the follow up-album had sounded like, if it wasn't for Grunge.

I saw them live in '92, and they were also great live.
