ROCKOLLECTIONS: VOL2-FAVORITES AND GUILTY PLEASURES PT.2

I did this second half of the show the next day after the first, and boy did I feel lousy- what a difference a day makes.
I wouldn't have finished it if I hadn't started it, lol!
But frankly, the show kept me going, made me feel a little better.
Certainly it didn't affect the Music any, I think it's better than Part One.
So while I may not have felt Pleasurable, I have nothing to feel Guilty about, lol!
And I can't help it, my mind just seems to make Musical Connections on its own.
Join me, it's a nice mix of Hits and Obscurities!

Nah. It's the CD. Tee hee. But there is a sticker of the non-baby version that you can put over the butchered babies.

Oh man, here in NYC the old vinyl went for hundreds!
Multiple hundreds!

Nice going, you buy it from a little old lady who didn't know what she had, lol?

Oh Jon, when I said Blood On The Tracks by Dylan was ESSENTIAL, I was thinking of you, LOL!

GET VILLAGE GREEN...GET THEM ALL!!!

How could someone with a collection...?

RJ,
Oh I love those two Kinks songs!
And a shame you never heard them, but where would you nowadays unless you bought the albums?
Glad I could introduce you.
You are another Jon, not listening to a Simon and Garfunkel album you have- don't you realize they are old now and will only get older until you do listen to them, lol?
Yeah, the Doors and Kinks run-in was funny, and I'll bet Ray laughs with every check!
The Hollies had their own sound, one of the BEST harmony groups, still even after Graham Nash left.
It is strange, that is a good song that should have at least made a ripple here.
Guess I can't argue with the Golden Pell to Bob Dylan, although a case could be made for my beloved Kinks, lol!
As I was playing the Hollies, the idea struck me that I could use it to send up the end with the Dylan song which I have always liked.
And I should be thankful I am turning you guys on to some Bob Dylan in the first place, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing, gonna try and do Halloween now, see what happens,
Mike

Yep, got the song. Thanks!

Could have sworn I had Village Green, just looked and I do not. How interesting.

And, no. Don't say my collection is incomplete!

Jon,
I am useful, a fount of information, lol!
That Kinks/Doors thing was never a big deal back then, most people just thought it was funny.
Because I am NOT live I could read the lyrics and keep doing it until I got it right, but once was enough- it was horrible, I remember being SO sorry I started it but I kept going, a terrible experience, lol!
That's what the reference to the Custard Pie Appreciation Consortium was all about- look up those lyrics, they are fantastic, Ray Davies at his poetic best!
But not for me to read aloud!
Ah, maybe I will, and I won't cheat.
Actually I played three songs by The Kinks.
What are you waiting for? Listen to that remastered Lola Versus Powerman with all those binuses!
Get Village Green by them, some great music including People Taking Pictures, The Phenomenal Cat, etc.
Zombies are not a factor in my life...at all, in any form!
Except for you, lol!
This is high praise from you, "Another fine show!"
Thanks for the listen and writing, and I sent you a BB song from Holland,
Mike
