Classic Rock Bottom

It’s just a few days until Thanksgiving Day.
And over the years the Theme Tradition for Thanksgiving shows has been Going Home
After all, that is what people are doing during the most heavily traveled time of year here in the U,S,
This year, I decided to try something different- Giving Thanks for Thanksgiving!
So I will play Songs Of Thanks.
They will be both serious and fun.
Join me, you maybe, perhaps, possibly will be Thankful, lol!

RJ,
Doing my job introducing you to the Sam & Dave Original.
And they go and win the Golden Pell, lol!
I don't know exactly why, but John Denver always seems to make the Thanksgiving show.
And I am thankful to be here on CRB!
Thanks for the listen and writing, hope you had a nice Thanksgiving,
Mike

Jon,
Yes it is a new show, freshly baked- I still do shows for them, never stopped.
We used to do that all the time growing up, add words to songs, usually profane, lol!
Eclectic SOMETIMES?
You are saying a lot then, right, lol?
Mike McGear did alright, as Scaffold had a number of hits in England.
Later Paul gave them songs, and he and Linda played and sang on a few.
At some point the group disbanded, and when they re-united Mike took his name McCartney back.
Told you that Sheehan version of Oh Well is really good, glad you thought so.
Yeah, never heard the Joe Jackson version.
Hahahahahahaha, this is good..."John Denver is back on, gotta write me some more lyrics."
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Not too much to say today. Enjoyed the show. I have never heard that version of I Thank You by Sam & Dave. Only the ZZ Top version. I liked it, at least enough to give them the Golden Pell.

It was coll to hear that John Denver song again too, it has been a while.

Mike, enjoy your holiday. I'm always thankful to have you and Rockollections here on CRB!

Is this a new show? You mentioned a station so I'm a bit confused.

Whatever it is, it was a nice show. Did you know that everytime I hear that John Denver song I always add my own words to the song?

Got me a cake and got me a griddle

lookout boys!

gonna grab me a fiddle

ain't got time for funny, funny riddlesssssssssss

Ok. That's all I need to say about that.

Eclectic SOMETIMES? Ok?

So, ummmmmm......did Paul's brother make it on his own? FIrst time I ever heard anything by the bro.

I also listened to Sheehan's version of "Oh Well" and that is really close to the original and is really, really good. I may or may not post that Joe Jackson album with his version, but one day I'll let you listen to it, if you're nice. JJ's version is something like the single version.

Wait.....

John Denver is back on, gotta write me some more lyrics.
