Classic Rock Bottom

Once again, this year we will do a Top 10 Countdown right here on CRB.  As each album is revealed, it will be added to this thread until we reach the number one album.  The list was compiled through nominations and voting open to all CRB members.  If you took the time to nominate and vote, I want to extend my personal thanks to you.

Be sure and click the album cover to get a review done by a member of the CRB staff.  We hope you enjoy the countdown and the final Top 10 list.

Sweet & Lynch?

Actually, the Toto album. I guess I might consider Sweet & Lynch if I come into some extra cash as well.

Top 10 is complete.  What do you think?

I think that many people gave the Iron Maiden album too much credit. Bad production, unmemorable songs.

Not everybody likes Steven Wilson.

Not saying everyone should. But 5, 10 years down the line, this IM album will not hold up like Killers, Number Of The Beast, Piece Of Mind, Powerslave, Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son, Dance Of Death. I've been following IM since the early 80's and this is not a particularly good album.

Maybe so.  But all of us that put it on our list will just have to figure out how to live with ourselves.

I guess you really didn't  want to know what we thought then.

One thing to point out is that it is supposed to best albums of a particular year. It isn't supposed to be judging the discs overall standing in the history of their entire discography.

Agree, I though Final Frontiers was solid at first as well, but it gathers dust now.  Hoping this is not the same but its definitely not going to overtake Somewhere In Time or those you mentioned.  But it could overtake them is the category was packaging...

Not everyone agrees with you.

I would've thought Wilson would hit #1, surprised by that
