Classic Rock Bottom

Shout At The Devil was released on September 26, 1983.  The band's sophomore release is slightly more polished than the debut, but still not overly sterilized in the studio.  This was where I discovered the band.  This remains my favorite today, followed very closely by the debut.  It also contains my favorite track by the Crue, Ten Seconds To Love.  What do you think about this album?

That Looks That Kill video reminds me of the Scorpions Rock You Like a Hurricane video.  Hilarious...

Those 80's videos are so great to watch these days. A barrel full of laughs for sure.

I was 9 years old when I bought this for $4 from a neighbor who was crying that this music was from the devil. I looked at the cassette cover and new that for $4 I had to check this out (it looked so different from the 2 cassettes I had in my collection so far - Survivor and REO Speedwagon). Granted, the visual aspect of MC entices your additional senses, but still this music wasn't like anything I had heard before (in my short time of life so far). I remember telling my mom that the lyric to "Bastard" was actually "Faster" so that she wouldn't take it away from me. Red Hot and Danger are two great B sides, and visually MC began setting the trends with this album.

Yup...  pivotal album for the west coasters...
