You bought all these recently or over the past few weeks?

Since the first of August.

Okay, I stopped by Purchase Street Records for the 2nd time after work tonight.

I picked up the first Giuffria (self-titled) album on vinyl.

I also replaced some cassettes that I wore out the copies I already had. Given that they are 3 bucks apiece (and I got a better deal than that still), it was easier to fill in the replacements with cassettes than spend the money to get CDs.

Of course, I'm going to be listening to them to make sure they are in good working order before filling them in the actual spots in the cassette holders. The first one I tried (Survivor's Eye of the Tiger) was bad so that's obviously not staying. And yes I have the album on LP and CD but I want the cassette version as well.

Here's the rest of the list of the cassettes I picked up to replace worn out copies:

Survivor - Too Hot To Sleep

Bad Company - Desolation Angels

Bad Company - Fame and Fortune

Eagles - Hotel California

Heart - Brigade

Heart - Rock The House Live

Cheap Trick - Lap of Luxury

These are the cassettes I picked up because they are albums I want to hear and never have or lost them:

Black Sabbath - Tyr

Alice Cooper - The Last Temptation

Lindsey Buckingham - Go Insane

John Parr - S/T

John Waite Rover's Return

John Waite - Temple Bar

John Norum - No Control

Eddie Money - Can't Hold Back

Night Ranger - 7 Wishes

Night Ranger - Big Life

Night Ranger - Man In Motion

Unfortunately these tapes didn't stand up to being played.

Bad Company - Desolation Angels - Tape warped and the player ate it.

Bad Company - Fame and Fortune - Tape warped and the player ate it.

Eagles - Hotel California - The cassette in the holder was not the HC album but a soundtrack album.

Heart - Rock The House Live - Played great on side one. Played about 20 seconds on side two and it warped and the player ate it.

I forgot to mention, there was a store in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee that had a butt load of cassette tapes. I picked up 4 or 5 Kiss tapes the last time I was there, all in the 2 dollar range.  All sealed, although you can't always tell if they are factory sealed or second hand sealed.  Anyway, I have no idea if the store is still standing after the devastating fires there last year.

You should try to find out if the place is still around or not in case you decide to make a return visit.
