Classic Rock Bottom

Let this thread be all about books.  What book(s) are you reading, or what book did you buy or are you buying.  You know, a book thread.  Even if it's a book on your wish list, I'm interested in knowing what it is.

At the moment, I'm reading "Reputation is a fragile thing" about Cheap Trick (as far as I know, the only book about CT)

Recently. I've spent way too much money on coffe table books, because I love the sight of them in the bookshelf.

The biggest and most beautiful (and most expensive) coffetablebooks, are from "Taschenbook", and there's a new book out about Rolling Stones:

The book is actually a coffetable itself, without legs off course, but damn it's big and heavy, and there's some exellent pictures of Stones in the 550 pages. Any Stones-fan should have one of these, that's for sure.

Not everything I buy, and read is about rock'n'roll, and being both a fan of big beautifull books, and classic comicbooks, I've recently bought these two Taschenbooks:

They are even bigger than the Rolling Stones-book (The Marvelbook is actually slightly bigger than the DC-comic-book, and have 720 enormous pages with all the information you need to know about Marvel. I haven't read the DC-book yet).

But my absolute favorite coffetablebook of all though, is my Led Zeppelin-book by the greatest rock-fotographer of all time, Ross Halfin (this book is "my precious"!!):

330 pages of mostly rare but exellent Zeppelin-pictures. This book has been out of print since mid 90's, but off course can be found at EBay, at an expensive price, but if I'm asked, it's bloody well worth every dime!!

Well, I'm just bored, and needed to spent some time, writing something.

Am I the only one around here with this "interest"?

I've also got this one:

Do you have that one, RJ? That's also a mother of a book, but only half the size of the Stones-book.

And this one about the one and only Randy Rhoads:

and even though, I know, there's not many tom Waits-fans around here, this is also one of the very big and beautifull coffetable-books out there (also out of print, but in my bookshelf).

Picked up three new books today:

The last one pictured was a purchase inspired by TageRyche's review he posted a day or two ago.  It wasn't until I got home that I realized that I picked up a different book in what is apparently a series.  Now I'm trying to decide whether to keep it and read it or return it for the one TR reviewed.

Keep it, it's the first one in the series. It actually develops some of the stuff in the 2nd book, the one I reviewed.

Cool. I'll do so.

Has anyone here read the graphic novel series The Last Man?

Did you mean

Y: The Last Man?

I think I read one, drawn by Goran Sudžuka.

Yes, that's it.  I forgot the "Y".  What did you think of it?  If you even remember.

I am about a third of the way through book 3, and I'm really enjoying it.  Cool concept, it would probably make a good mini-series.

I remember liking the story. The art wasn't that special, meaning wasn't bad, just not what I expected.

Of what little I remember, the story was tailor made for a TV series, for what I'm sure, the fans are still lobbying.
