ROCKOLLECTIONS:VOL1-SONGS INSTRUMENTAL TO POP PT.2

Continuing with more Songs Instrumental To Popular Music and Rock & Roll!
I will again ease you into the Rockers after a maybe mellow set that is a Musical Travelogue without Words.
Beginning with a man’s name I thought I’d never use, lol!
It’s a funny thing about Instrumentals, they’ll stick in your head from childhood, leaving you wondering how you know them.
And there are no words to help you out!
I’ll play what I think is the First Monster Rock & Roll Instrumental from the ’50’s, that twangy guitar standing out proudly!
After that, I’ll just let the Rockin’ Muse take me- some you’ll know, some you won’t.
There will be more of these Instrumental Shows on an irregular schedule, moving up through the years as we go along- this is just Volume One!
And there are more Words written here than you’ll hear, lol!
This will be fun!

Jon,

I got it, Sex Machine right?

You know, I seriously considered Dr. Doolittle after you mentioned it.

I don't think so, but who knows, I haven't recorded the last show in the Series yet!

I will, haven't had a chance yet for Stand.

No, no Dr. Doolittle or Seuss, lol!

Stupid.Went on the wrong page.

No, you need to look at the Stand! album.

Yeah, that was great and all that.

Where's anything about Dr. Doolittle????

A Canadian?

And I am the biggest Hockey fan ever, lol!

I was just giving a pre-Rock feel, and I will continue that as we go along- and nice, hadn't thought of Bridge On The River Kwai.

Holy shit, Tom Petty died?

Comment by Yngve J. Chapleen on October 2, 2017 at 5:14pm

Nope. We Canadians watch the sunset, we don't listen to it and while I might have heard the other two you mentioned, neither one settled in my memory.

If you really insist, I did hear the Calcutta and Poor People Of Paris before, but they aren't Rock standards even if you give the la-la's and whistles a pass. That being said, Bridge On The River Kwai theme song is awesome. Maybe you play that one day?

Yngve,
Hey, they are MY rules, lol!
Nothing was familiar?
Come on, my 26 year old girlfriend got Canadian Sunset...true, lol!
And you should have known Raunchy & Teen Beat- I’ll give you the others.
It’s all Music History, and you did know Sleepwalk!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike
