Classic Rock Bottom

Recently I talked to the suits in corporate and asked if we could take a couple weeks off at the end of December and they laughed. One week is all they offered so I laughed and told them I would post something quite insane causing their stock priced to plummet and the possible forfeiture of their holiday bonuses.

They weren't laughing about that.

Then one of the millenial man-bunned punks said that we could have a couple weeks off if a Christmas album was posted. As he vaped, he told the other millenials that this wouldn't happen since posting a Christmas album is not PC and this is probably the most PC site on the worldwide web.

They all agreed and soon everyone was vaping and throwing cassettes at each other so I left the office, took a limo to the airport and flew home.

As I landed on my roof, it came to me what album I could post just to show 'em all. But I had to take some time off because I forgot there wasn't a landing pad on my roof and the jet slid off and caused some pretty extensive damage to the neighbor's house so I had to hid out for awhile.

While they packed up some items and headed to the local hotel, I quietly went thru my stacks of music and came across the 2012 album from Donnie Iris & The Cruisers titled Ah! Leluiah! and figured that would be a Christmas album because it states on the cover "The Christmas Album". HA! Millenials, suck on THAT!

You know Donnie Iris. You know at least that one song and this album title should maybe remind you of that song?

He was in his late 60's when this album was recorded and I must say that he sound really good. For the song " The Hallelujah Chorus" there are 81 separate vocal tracks which is pretty cool in my book.

Well, there you have it. My last post of 2017.

Happy Holidays, everyone. Except the millenials. They suck.

Vaping is bad mmkay?  and ya, Millenials do suck!

Donnie Iris on the otherhand, pretty cool in a very nerdy kind of way.  Always liked a couple of his albums as I had one on vinyl but never really had the urge to buy anything on CD.  Why?  No idea, still don't have that urge by the way.  But thay doesn't his music any less cool when it shows up, in fact the only thing that could make Donnie less cool is if he had a Christmas album!

Oh....  wait....  uh.....

Well here it is then.  Hmmm...  Angels we have heard doesn't really inspire me or give me Christmas spirit. You know, my worship band at church could learn a few things from this album, like Emmanuel, wonder what the old folk would do if they turned this one up a bit!?  Pretty sure it wouldn't be rejoice and the tithes may be a bit short that week and the Pastor would get a good talkin too!!  Oh well it was a good thought...

You know, my wife loves Christmas music, in July even!  Trust me I'm not lying.  However this one wouldn't quite be in her, how would bossman say it...  wheelhouse!  I may be able to pass a few of them off without her saying anything, but by the time we got to Carol of the Bells she'd make me change it.  If not this song then the next one without a doubt!

Donnie Iris does Ave Maria, let that sink in....

Hallelujah Chorus is weird...  When I think of Donnie Iris I don't think of harmonies but now I have to.  Shouldn't Auld Lang Syne be the last song? Makes sense to me, but not Donnie Iris!

Not a purchase for me, but not because this wasn't decent, it was, but because my wife wouldn't like it..  Its her fault!

Millennials, with their flex schedule to show up at work whenever they feel like, sucks.

OK it's almost Christmas, so all I say is Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.
