I did a Cassette Chronicles article on the Sahara album from House of Lords and I love that Hughes Turner Project album.
I'm sure I knew all about the talent involved in the making of the first HTP before I bought it, but that was a long time ago and I completely forgot about them. It was a nice surprise to hear Paul Gilbert, John Sykes, Vince DiCola and last but not least Akira Kajiyama on this album. All stellar performances. Especially Kajiyama on "Ride The Storm". That is one phenomenal Rocker.

That Iced Earth album is really good.
And I am a huge fan of that Iron Maiden album.
It's the best Iced Earth (and the only one I have). Picked it up because of Ralph Santolla. R.I.P. That guy was amazing. He could play anything. From Hulk Hogan's "stuff" to Iced Earth, Death, Millenium and everything in between. I miss him. Also, the album has one particular song I just had to have. :)
"Somewhere in Time" together with "Powerslave" were disappointments to me, so I decided to keep my urges of buying another IM album under control... for the time being anyway. Over the years of what I heard from "7th Son" convinced me to change my mind and finally, in 1998 I bought this CD. Despite that, since then this CD has been waiting for me to give it a spin. (That should give you an idea, for how long some of these CDs have been sitting on my "Later" pile). As for "7th Son", it's better than the two aforementioned projects, but still far cry from their album No.1-4.
My favorite Iced Earth album is actually their Alive in Athens release. Studio album is probably Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Somewhere in Time is my favorite Iron Maiden album because it was my first album from the band. And it has "Alexander The Great" on it, which is one of my all-time favorite Maiden tracks. I came late to the band so I never heard the first four albums until AFTER SIT. But I just didn't like the first two albums with Paul Di'Anno's vocals. Might be related to hearing Bruce first but still, I rarely listen to those two releases.
