Classic Rock Bottom

WHAT CLASSIC ROCK (OR JUST PLAIN ROCK) ARE YOU LISTENING TO?

So what are you listening to right now?  Any genre is cool.

For me:

Scott's Hidden Treasure

Depeche Mode - Wrong (courtesy of Niels)

Kim Mitchell - Akimbo Alogo (courtesy of Jon)

Next week's Album of the Week (hint: think orchestra)

I don't have any of these albums. But I used to have a pen pal (back in the day when that was a thing) that loved Pink Cream 69.

I would love to hear that A Place Called Rage album though.

Interesting, you mentioned A place called rage. It was the one album I was most interested to hear from this batch of "later" CDs.

Of course, I purchased it because of Al Pitrelli's involvement. I also remember giving the CD a quick spin when I bought it, just to get an idea of what it is about, and... I was a bit disappointed. Now mind you, mostly because I expected shred, perhaps even half of the material to be instrumental music, but that is far from what this project offers.

I was curious to see how did time impacted my feelings, and I can say that I really... enjoyed it this time. Went in with a different mindset and expectations, and this album delivered a great Classic Rock sound. Nice tasty guitar solos, nothing flashy rather emotional and crisp. You should give it a chance. I think you'd like it.

I have the Bad Company album and like it.

I'll need to get Music from "The Elder" if I'm to complete the Kiss catalog acquisition.

Might think about getting the Styx album at some point.

Elder is Jon’s favorite.

It;s the best Kiss album.
