Continuing with this Salute To Baseball, the song most commonly connected with the Sport is Take Me Out To The Ballgame.

But there is an interesting history behind that song.
For instance, the guy who wrote it had never seen a Major League Baseball game- and didn't for another 33 years!
It's Folk, Rock & Comedy this time Out...or am I Safe, lol?
With nostalgia about choosing up sides for a game, the tenuous careers of prospects, and the dirtiest team in Baseball (if not for how they played the Game, certainly laundry-wise).

He hit a single which scored Wally Backman and gave the Mets a 7-4 lead, Houston scored two in the bottom of the 16th so the Mets won 7-6. That was a hell of a game, I watched that whole thing. Let's not talk about the Mookie Wilson grounder thru Buckner's legs since that brings up stupid memories.
