I've just bought Iron Maiden's new 2-cd compilation-album "From fear to eternity" (1990-2010).

I have'nt bought an Iron Maiden-album since "Seventh son of a seventh son" in 1988, but I really like it so far. I've listened to the first 8 tracks, and all the songs are epic. "Blood Brothers" and "El Dorado" are the best ones so far.

I can only recommend it, if you, like me, have'nt bought any IM-albums the last 23 years.

Just got the new U.D.O. CD Rev-Raptor today.

Got Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Greatest Hits...not a big TP fan, but this is a decent, more mellow listen.

Also got "Forevermore" by Whitesnake, and I think its excellent! I know RJHog was dissapointed in Coverdales performance, but I dig this disc. I think the vocals are still decent, but the guitar work is really top-notch. To me, I dont think you could find more 6-string talent in just one band...Doug Aldrich and Reb Beach both are among the top players in the world!

And finally, dont know what made me do it, but I "took a chance" on "The Chemical Wedding" by Bruce Dickinson. Had never heard one minute of it, never heard anyone talk about it. Just took a chance. And I'm glad I did. It really rocks! Talk about some "down-tuned" guitars! Very heavy disc, and an enjoyable listen!

Obviously I'm with you about Whitesnake.

And I'm glad you checked out The Chemical Wedding because Bruce Dickinson really had some great stuff on that disc.

Would make a good review and better post if someone wanted to....
I'll post it in my next NMC, but I already have one ready to go today.

Who me?

Eh...not me.

I listened to Good To Be Bad today, and you are right TR, the vocals aren't all that much different.  Maybe it's not quite as bad as I thought.

Heart - Dog & Butterfly (Remastered)

Gerry Rafferty - Night Owl

Saga - Heads or Tails (Remastered)

Foghat - Rock and Roll (or "Stone and Biscuit" if you want to get technical)

Neil Young w/ Stephen Stills - Long May You Run

Journey - Eclipse

Michael Schenker Group (2009 Remaster)

MSG (2009 Remaster)

Michael Schenker Group - Built To Destroy (2009 Remaster)

Thin Lizzy - Vagabonds of the Western World (Deluxe Edition)

You got Night Owl? I thought you heard bad stuff about the sound. Ooooh...and MSG. Really good stuff there. Where's "Assault Attack"?

I already own Assault Attack..

Brace yourself, Night Owl is only available in MP3 download format or you can buy that double CD that doesnt sound good at all.  But I gotta tell ya the download sounds great, and I love the album too much to pass it up!
