Well, here is your "bad penny" again.
Happy New Year and with that and Podsnack taking long time to disappear into its oblivion, I'm back (for now), listening to some of my old Cassettes, LPs, Maxi's and Singles. (The CDs are old news, not that you care, I know).
I was watching the Christmas Chanel and its beloved fireplace on a 24h loop, (BTW, it's the Top movie of the year, followed by the latest installment of Sharknado, for those who keep records) and all that warmth and crackling reminded me of my Vinyls.
The ones I still cherish are full of noises and hisses, but hey, its part of the history, so I wouldn't have it any other way. (Except, if they would get a proper CD release for the first time ever, then I'd have it, in more than one ways). I also kept those Vinyls (and Cassettes), that I'm content with in the long forgotten media format, so no upgrades necessary.
What follows is the ghost of Christmas past.
Herman Ze German is the Scorpions drummer's solo project (Herman Rarebell). (Got CD release, but who cares. Certainly not me.)
Steeler is not to be confused with Ron Keel's band, that had Malsteen as a full flagged member, but to be listed under Axel Rudi Pell's, past endeavors. (Still no CD release, unless you count the Russian unofficial version, for which nobody cares.)
Todd Grubbs is a guitar legend from the times when there were too many enthusiasts of the instrument putting out solo materials, to increase their presence in a hope to be snatched up by well established bands. (From a 3 track demo cassette. Try finding one of those these days.)
click on the covers for a healthy dose of popping and cracklings.

So.....rock my balls? Wouldn't that hurt?
The other two songs were pretty cool, the third one sounded like it could have come from an 80's action movie. Maybe something about Ball Rockin'.
Ron Keel. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Thankfully, this ain't that one. Yngwie pretty much bores me, too much flash, not enough substance. This Steeler is much better. It sounds like something that could have come out today. I enjoyed it.
Ron Keel. Boy, everytime I see or hear that name I just have to laugh.
There are no birthdays today
