Classic Rock Bottom

Well, we've been having so much dang fun with games lately, let's try this one.  And I think that I even made this one up on my own.  Anyway, the object is for the first person, that's me, to write a sentence that contains a classic rock lyric.  The next person would do the same, but it has to carry on from where the previous sentence left off.  Who knows, we might get a pretty good story out of this.  Make sure you use quotation marks for your lyric.

I'll start us off:

I just heard that "the greeks don't want no freaks".

"on the rebound"

let me correct this:

The greeks don't want no freaks "on the rebound".

Now the "story" can commence!

The greeks don't want no freaks on the rebound.

"But with a streak of Rin Tin Tin"

I always thought that lyric was "the stink of Rin Tin Tin".  You know, smelling like a dog.

Could be. I can't remember how he sings it. I took it directly from the lyrics, as they are written.

The greeks don't want no freaks on the rebound.

"But with a streak of Rin Tin Tin"

"They climbed aboard their starship"

The greeks don't want no freaks on the rebound. But with a streak of Rin Tin Tin they climbed aboard their starship "with that one guitar"

The greeks don't want no freaks on the rebound. But with a streak of Rin Tin Tin they climbed aboard their starship "with that one guitar".  They sold the guitar and tried to purchase a "stairway to heaven".

wait wait wait wait....you added non lyrics stuff? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Thought it was going to be ALL lyrics. Now the fun is gone.

"Stairway to heaven" is most definitely a lyric (as well as a song title).  But I'll change it, just for you...

The greeks don't want no freaks on the rebound. But with a streak of Rin Tin Tin they climbed aboard their starship "with that one guitar".  Once aboard with that one guitar, they played a "little diddy 'bout Jack and Diane".

Stairway to Heaven is fine, but it's what came before, unless that's a lyric too. Something like

Meanwhile and far way (Moody Blues) she's buying a stairway to heaven.

Let me make a clarification.  The lyric itself does not have to be a complete sentence. My goal is for the next person to write a complete sentence, using some part of a song lyric, that makes sense with what came before it.
