Today KissFAQ was sad to learn about the passing of KISS songwriting contributor Mikel Japp. He was 59 years old. In addition to his work on such KISS albums as "Paul Stanley," "Creatures Of The Night," and "Killers," Japp also collaborated with the Babys, John Waite and Matthew Fisher, in addition to being a member of the Scotland-based band Marmalade. He released a solo album, "Dreamer," in 2000.

Sadly, we have just been informed that Mikel Japp passed away last week at his home in Wales. Deepest sympathies go out to his friends & family, Mikel was an important part of KISStory and a great guitarist.
Mikel's credits include co-writing 'Ain't Quite Right', 'Move On', 'Take Me Away, (Together As One)' from Paul's solo album, "Saint And Sinner" from "Creatures Of The Night" and "Down On Your Knees" from Killers.
RIP Mikel.
