Okay, so what movies from the year 2011 have you seen? Want to see?

 

Well, so far that I can remember I've seen:

 

Get Low starring Robert Duvall about a hermit in the 1930's who goes about having a funeral party BEFORE his death. I'm not quite sure what I was expecting but despite my fandom for Duvall, I was disappointed in this movie.

 

Last night I went to theater and saw the movie Hanna. Saoirse Ronan was good in the title role but otherwise this movie was a let down as well. Cate Blanchett's southern accent was distracting, the quick cut camera editing was annoying and when the reason why everyone wanted Hanna was revealed, all I could think was that they kind of ripped off the comic book back story of Captain America a bit.

 

Other movies I'm looking forward to seeing are: Green Lantern, Thor, Conan The Barbarian, Fast Five and Beautiful Boy. The last one is about parents who hear about a shooting on a campus where there son goes to school, only to find out it was their son who did the shootings. I saw the trailer on On Demand and it looked intense.

Artsy movies, huh? I saw Lars Von Trier's "Melancholia" yesterday, and I liked it a lot. AND there were full frontal nudity from whatshername "Mary Jane" from Spiderman. That's art!!

This was more artsy. Had to do with the environment and artsy stuff like that.

Oh yeah..it also had David Hasselhoff.

I just read about a movie in Hot Rod Magazine called In Time. Hey, it has cool 1970 Dodge Challenger's in the flick. I might go looking for the movie.

My first car was a 74 Dodge Challenger! Remember this one RJ?

Well, that was it's color when I first got it. After I wrecked it, I had it painted midnight blue!

My first car was a 1995 Ford Taurus (White/Green Interior) Not as cool. :(

You're right, that's exactly how mine looked, except it had a black vinyl top. Loved that car!!!

Saw "Prometheus" today....

By the way: I saw Sherlock Holmes II, or whatever it's called, yesterday. Personally, i Will Call it CRAP.

Trying not to ruin the movie for anyone. But the kinda does with just one shot.

I watched the Denzel Washington thriller Safe House yesterday. It was OKAY but not great. He was good, Ryan Reynolds was good. But I had the "real" bad guy pegged in minutes.

I also watched John Carter last night. It is not a great movie by any lengths, but you know what? It is nowhere near as bad as it was made out to be. I liked it.
