STEVE HUNTER - Swept Away 1977 - LP
Steve is known as a guitarist for Alice Cooper (that's were I noticed him) and later with David Lee Roth. This was his first solo album. It was reissued on CD, but I like the vinyl. Steve has a problem with his eyes (something I can relate to), so much that he is considered legally blind. Which makes the title of his most recent CD quite creepy: "Before The Lights Go Out".

PRICE / SULTON - Lights On 1986 - LP
Two guys from The Blackhearts (the Joan Jett kind). Tommy Price had some Billy Idol connections, so Steve Stevens played on few tracks (although, remained uncredited). Kasim Sulton was in New Cars, hence the Elliott Easton inclusion. I'm mentioning this, because the music falls exactly between the Idol - Cars style. The album was released on CD in Japan. If you can afford to buy it these days, you can afford to send me on a vacation to Disneyland, as well.

SIMON F - Gun 1985 - LP
Simon never heard of: Those who can't do teach. Because he is not one of them. The NME journalist transitioned to a musician. And yet another Steve Stevens cameo. This smoking Gun haven't been released on CD, yet. Not that it would matter to me anyway. I'm fine with the vinyl.

Ádám & Éva - Keep Dreaming, Ádám (Ádám & Éva II.) 1986 - LP
Last week he heard Adam, and the week before that Eva (Newton Family). Today it's Adam & Eva together gone solo (for second time around). If you like ABBA, you got to appreciate these two. Knowing me... I do, I do, I do. It's hard to imagine this will ever see a CD release, therefore vinyl it is.

I've never heard the Price/Sulton album, but I do have a slightly odd story about The New Cars. I was listening to that It's Alive! album they did when I was working on writing a eulogy for my father.

I'd say, whatever gets your creativity going is a good thing, but it is odd that an album titled It's Alive! served as an inspiration for writing a eulogy.

Up until recently, I didn't even know there was New Cars. How is it?

The album was OK, but nothing particularly great or anything.

It didn't serve as an inspiration for what I was writing though, it was just what I was listening to as I was writing it.

I has something all written up and accidentally deleted it.

Let's see if I can remember some of the stuff.

The Steve Hunter album cover is familiar.

There's also a Todd Rundgren connection going on since Sulton was a member of Utopia and both were The New Cars and then there was something about "Hiroshima" and how non-PC the song is yet it's still funny in a sick, twisted way.

And then there's Billy Idol and why all this BI sound-alike stuff going on.

And then we can get with A&E (not the tv station) and say.....EH.
