As you might have noticed I'm near the end of my Desert Island collection with these Jewel Case editions, and that is also the last part of my collection, so I thought maybe a little bit of trivia is in order, and the trivia is: How well you know Yngve J. Chapleen. I know I came late to the party when hardly anyone was posting anything anymore and even less do we reply to posts. I'll try to add a bit of life to these "dry" listings, but I can't do it myself. This is where I need your participation. The question is very simple; Now that I'm posting the albums in chronological order:
1. What is the most populated year in my collection? 
Tip: neither of these years ( 1969 - 1973) posted here are the one.

And why stop there:
3. Guess the number of (jewel case) albums I have for each year starting with 1974 - 2022

That is not all. I would love to know which year in your collection is the most populated.
To help you guess, or to confuse you a bit, I'll give you a short rundown of each decade and how that part of my life related to music.

Let's start with the glorious 1980s. If you ask me it's the best 10 years of music ever. I got my first turntable in 1980 and since then I bought a lot of LPs. Now, that is vinyl not CDs. The question is, did I transfer my collection into CDs? I'm not in front of my collection, so I can't be sure of the answer, but if I'm guessing I would choose a year from this decade as my most populous. I even have a year that goes with it, but I don't want to influence the answers so, I'll keep it to myself and find out as we go wheater I was right or not.

Next, the turbulent 1990s. Because the first half was chaotic for me. Haven't had much capital to spend on anything, so CD purchases were sparse and calculated. I know a lot of my generation complains about Grunge, but the 90s were the golden age of guitar instrumental music. And as bad as the first half of this decade was, the later half made up for it in spades. Sure, I gave my health to a 3rd job, which was used to expand my CD collection. I wouldn't disregard the 90s as a possible winner.

The spotty 2K - 2019. 2 decades of ups and downs. Years with a healthy amount of album purchases, followed by patches where I barely had enough for a Top 10. I let your imagination navigate through possibilities.

The robust 2020 - present. I'm not sure if we can thank Covid and its lockdowns for an exuberant explosion of the music scene, but the last 3 years had a lot to offer. I'm sure the numbers are nothing to sneeze at. But were they enough to grab the crown?

And I'm sure you noticed I left out the 1970s Maze Of Rock. If I'd asked you these questions pre-2020, the 70s wouldn't have stood a chance against the other decades, and not because I don't like the music of this era, but because I knew so little about its Big Picture. Thanks to the Covid-Quarantine I got time to explore this decade properly. Am I an expert now? Not even close, but education still goes on. With knowledge and time to sample these lost gems, my collection welcomes more and more CDs to fit the bill. For example, when I started sorting my jewel case CDs in chronological order there was only one 1969 release (Omega) and one 1973 album (Nazareth - Razamanaz), and nothing in between. Take a look at it now, and tell me you are confident to dismiss the 70s in the challenge.
