JOURNEY - ARRIVAL (2001)

So, at some point after the release of Trial By Fire, both Steve Perry and Steve Smith were out and Steve Augeri and Deen Castronovo were in. Steve Augeri sounds a good bit like Steve Perry. That was obviously the idea. But I will say, in defense of Perry, the slow songs that everyone (including myself) thought were being pushed by Perry, were in full force on this album as well. So just maybe it wasn't all Steve. Quite honestly, I'm not much of a fan of this album. Not because it was fronted by Augeri, but really because the songs, other than the opener, just weren't very interesting. And I'll prove that's true when we get to the next album.
