Classic Rock Bottom

THIS IS AN ENCORE- I AM ON VACATION

And so far, I have been through an earthquake and a hurricane.
What the hell awaits me this week...DEATH, LOL?
Everything you read and hear for this is 4 years old- hope it hasn't staled!

As you probably know, August 16th was the 30th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley.
That’s 3 decades, and it got me to thinking that Elvis recorded in 3 decades- the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s.
So I thought we might play a song by him from each of those decades.
Then, 3 songs ABOUT Elvis and his legacy.
Beginning with the late, great Steve Goodman; next a supposedly true story done by a group called Wall Of Voodoo; and lastly one from my “almost” friend, George Wurzbach.
I felt like playing a # 1 song in 1957, by a guy named Charlie Gracie that hardly anyone remembers.
But I do…!
We will have more to catch up with next episode.

Here's the link to what is definitely not stale now that I have listened to it, at WLSO.FM:
