ROCKOLLECTIONS: 1967 AND THE SUMMER OF LOVE PT.10

The Theme for Rockollections much of this Summer has been a return to 1967 for the Summer Of Love.
I have two stories in this chapter, each prompting the playing of two songs.
One about a girl I knew who was probably the first I thought was beautiful, but at my age then, I was too young and timid to tell her.
Another is about Phasing, or Flanging, as an effect in Music that doesn't seem to be used much anymore (at least I haven't noticed it).
In between stories, I decided to truly Free-Form it, and just wander through my Music Library picking out 1967 songs that I like or have a memory for me.
And let me again point out, when you have a whole YEAR'S worth of Music to choose from- especially THAT year- it can be very daunting making your musical choices.
I think I made some very good picks...Hits, Album Cuts, songs not played on commercial Radio in years...and all interesting to say the least.
Hopefully, you will enjoy the results of the Muse that guided me!

As always, those necessary links in order to hear this, your pick of one or the other, to Mike Pell Rockollections:

I'll take 50 cents, lol!

In that Sly & Family Stone song, Dance To The Music, at parties when they sing "You might like to hear my organ", I would always scream You might like to SEE my organ!

Thankfully no girl ever took me up on it...oh the embarrassment, lol!

If I only had a dollar for every time I heard the phrase "lots of organ"...I'd be a rich man.

Of course, she was not referring to me.

Hold on to your organ Jon...but not too hard, lol!

That's organic to me.

Jon,

That's IT, LOL?

"Lots of organ"?

Are you saving words for your deathbed, lol?

I'm not even sure what you mean by that.
