Alright, a NEW show!
I'll start with a few Vacation Songs, as a result of having just come off one.
Then for the 12th Anniversary of 9/11, it's on to a tradition I started on the first anniversary.
Playing songs about New York City- a Celebration Of My City!
Even after a vacation, returning home I realize my Heart is in New York and always will be!
You can tell when I don't feel like writing...I just don't, lol!

RJ,
We are doing shorthand, must be that tim of year, lol!
I was hoping Jonathan Richman, thought it might be Lou Reed or the Brecker Brothers, but the Golden Pell goes to Elvis Costello!
That is a great one, always liked it even though it is so short.
You outsmarted me, lol!
Thanks for the listen and almost writing, but see what Jon did, lol, you guys are SO different,
Mike

Jon,
I need a decoder!
Now why do you DO that to me, LOL?
Nice word, dichotomy!
I'll listen to the Darkness, any particular song?
Oh man, I was going to attempt a serious reply, but I can't...hahahahaha!
You are a piece of work,
Mike

Funny, I'm in the same mood.  No typing.

Except to give the Golden Pell to Elvis Costello.  That was a cool song.

Maybe a better mood tomorrow.

So, Connie Stevens followed by Abbot & Costello? Interesting dichotomy (word of the day!).

I once had a A&C album, it had something like 20 tracks on one slab o' vinyl, and I was supposed to Get Happy! or something and I didn't. BUt it had 20 or so songs, so I guess they could be proud of it. No comedy routines though. Thought there would be something halfway funny.

John Winters song was catchy. I was humming it when it was over. The lead singer of The Darkness stole Johnny's singing style. You'll know when you listen to The Darkness.

Nice mellow song from Stealers Wheel. I thought they would be a bit more upbeat, but mellow every now and then is good. Never knew they had a female lead singer in that group. Learning new stuff again!  Everytime I hear something from Stealers Wheel, I think of "Driver's Seat" but that was Sniffing The Tears, but both have to do with cars so you can understand how I think of one when listening to something from the other. it really makes sense if you think about it.

I like Stella more than Connie. Just so you know.

Paul Simon was a good song. Didn't sound like him, but I guess if he always sounded like Paul Simon, than that would be silly.

Blue Man Group? They sing?

Andy Williams" He still sang in the '00's and sounded like a woman?

Man, Boris Becker is FUNKY! I really liked that song, no German accent either! Well, when you're belting out the funk, you don['t need no stinking accent!
