ROCKOLLECTIONS: A BARREL OF MONKEYS PT.2

More Monkeys In The Barrel for this continuing Series.

Can’t get that visual out of my head, there must be some way to dull them.
Oh, I know what to do!
There’s a Song in here that pokes gentle fun at Bruce Springsteen- his songs and New Jersey
Then it’ll be time for putting the lid back on the Barrel, and to Talk To Some Assorted Animals.
Beginning with what has become a Cult Movie from 1966- it starred Peter Sellers and a very respectable cast, was the 1st screenplay by Neil Simon, and the Title Song was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.
Which I will play.
Anybody remember After The Fox?
This is a fun one!

Yngve,
That’s a fascinating idea!
Replace Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, George Clooney, etc.
And again you’re right- they ARE moneys, LOL!

Well, wouldn't it be swell if Hollywood would cast monkeys for their remakes?

It could be a new trend. I bet, seeing monkeys play some famous roles by some famous actors would be hilarious.

But then again, for few of them we wouldn't know the difference.

Jon,
Strikes me funny too, but I wouldn’t want to be around, lol!
I wasn’t doing Movies, I was doing Animals- it was just an accident!
Don’t remember Monkey Shines BUT YOU SAW IT IN A THEATER, LOL!
Makes all the difference in the world!
A year of Monkey Movies, that would be something!
I may have been drunk, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Yngve,
I can see why they would be, those vicious little bastards, lol!
Remember the group Mandrill? Look at their album cover!
Alright, that was Gabriel, 13th Floor Elevators, Beatles & Wilburys!
I was inspired, I have my moments!
Just sayin’, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Monkeys in a barrel is STILL funny.

You kinda rocked out here, but missed a couple movies.

Monkey Shines and a movie I actually saw in a theater, Link. Okay, think it was an orangutan, but still. I SAW IT IN A THEATER.

Don't remember anything about it though. For some reason the year it came out seemed like a year of monkey movies. Eh, maybe not.

It's well known fact that Monkey's on comic book covers guaranty higher sales, but does the same goes for covers of various music media? I don't know. Maybe you can find out.

However, I can say this: the Monkey songs certainly generated more fun than the second half of your show. Just sayin'.
