ROCKOLLECTIONS: BACK TO BACK TO SCHOOL PT.1

This was the 3rd week's show in a Series I was doing before I was so rudely interrupted in September 2009.
Never one to waste an idea, I had added songs by 2010, and a different time in free-form radio brings different results.
NO songs from 2009 will be repeated- all distinct selections for this 2010!
It is that most awful time of year again, resulting in going Back To Back To School, kicking and screaming!
I will open with a school that I might...just might...have had fun attending.
Continuing on with some good old Rock & Roll having to do with School.
Then another fond look back, this time at those wonderful School Days.
And I must emphasize that I mean the Time Period of our lives, NOT the actual tortuous hours physically spent IN School, lol!

Oh, those poor shlubs having to get up early to catch the bus so they can get some learnin'. Makes me laugh!

Almost made me want to put some speakers outside and play this really loud, just to be annoying and just to make the children cry that much harder.

"What did you do during the summer?"

"I went to camp and was shunned because I still pee the bed."

Ah, memories. Sometimes they're just not good. Then there was the time you go from Catholic school to public school and your hair is still short and everyone makes fun of you because you have short hair and they steal your radio in gym and you never see it again. Things like these can affect your later years and people wonder why. 

Then they wonder why you start having liquid lunches in high school. Why you're fine in the morning but drunk in the afternoon in gym class. So drunk you decide you don't want to get dressed for gym and fail and have to take it in summer school.

The Wainwright song was really cool. Thought it was a woman first, but guess not...

So go ahead kids. Cry because you have to go back to school. School is evil. School is mean. You make one mistake and you'll regret it for the rest of your life. That's how it goes.

Home schooling is the way to go! Nobody to pick on you unless your older brother beats the crap out of you every day of your life until the day you finally beat the crap out of HIM and as you're celebrating, your mother comes outside and grounds YOU. Poo older brother bleeding and crying like a baby and you get grounded. Such is life!
