ROCKOLLECTIONS: BUILDING A HOUSE WITH SONG- LOCATION

I am attempting to Build A House With Song, and it seems the next logical step would be...well, what is it that Real Estate people say?
It's time for Choosing A Location.
Let's look around- maybe a House In The Country!
While I know WE would be Good Neighbors, I can't speak for everyone.
And of course, we don't need a Mansion, just a simple House.
With a Solid Foundation!
Not just Beams and Concrete, but also with Values, Morals and Faith!
Please join me for this 2nd Chapter, picking out a place where we can use our Weapons Of Mass Construction.

You mean I made a post post-coffee?

Yeah, if that's it, it's just you, lol!

post coffee...  its a weird connection isn't it?  To coincidental, or is it just me?

RJ & Scott,

ScarJo? Who is that?

Come In Out Of The Pain...?

It's the rain that's a Pain, lol!
And with Scott I wrote Flowers In The Dirt when I meant Flowers In The Window.

That was pre-coffee!

ScarJo?  Nice.

There's a great country song by Doug Stone called Come In Out Of The Pain...

Scott,
Well, I guess it is possible to go wrong with a McCartney tune, but I don't intend to, lol!
I know what you mean, some people just don't like his post-Beatles music...even his Beatles stuff!
I like it.
Since I played Let Em In on the Thanksgiving shows- you know as guests are ringing the bell and arriving for dinner- I nixed the song, don't like to repeat myself.
But I think I will be dipping into some songs I tend to return to for Thanksgiving when I wrap this Build A House With Song Series up (which may suddenly have a name change), so Let Em In may just be Let In, lol!
I swear, I thought I would really surprise people with Out In The Country- an Oh Wow Gotcha song!
Actually our house, this house, should be moving along in its building pretty quickly.
At least that's how I see it.
Watching flowers grow CAN get pretty boring really fast, but it beats watching grass grow, lol!
I mentioned Flowers In The Dirt was co-written by McCartney.
You doze off...or suddenly fantasize about say, Scarlett Johansson, lol?
I did get got sentimental in my selections to end this show, and glad you caught it.
Again, that's the beauty of free-form.
Just sitting down and letting your moods and the music come together, and whatever results is what it is.
The GP to the Laura Burns tune!
I'll go along with that...she dominates the song, but don't forget Roger Rosen on there- a beautiful a cappella tune I heard shortly before 9/11, and has become connected to that angering event ever since.
Thanks for listening and writing, and thinking it was nice stuff,
Mike

You know, I think I will START next week's show with the Roof- as a tribute to you, lol!

They had signs all over my building yesterday about torrential rains...keep your windows closed!

I know all about that, thinking things will fix themselves.

And sometimes they DO!

I've probably heard it, but I don't remember it.

It's been raining non-stop here for about 12 hours (overnight) and it was heavy rain.  So, of course, I walked into the bathroom this morning and the floor was soaked.  We have a roof leak, which I knew about, but haven't had a problem with it.  I guess I hoped it would fix itself.  But it didn't.

RJ,

Just woke up, a late night watching hockey from West Coast and other stuff- I hope I don't have any voiceovers to do in my emails, I am afraid to look, lol!

Man is it ugly raining out here, and cold again!

Gotta get a REAL coffee in me, then answer Scott.

And do at least the 1st half of next week's show.

Say, what about that interesting Three Dog Night name? Know the story?:

True about it being a school song, but I just thought of bricks and walls.

AHA!!!!
Knew it, came to me last night- but I think of that as a School song!
