ROCKOLLECTIONS: BUILDING A HOUSE WITH SONG- ROOMS

The Roof is finished, and we included an Attic while we were up there.
Building A House With Song, now it is time to start filling in this Shell of a Structure with Rooms.
And one Room that at various times is VERY important is a Bathroom!
To our great relief, we have ALL been thankful we had one of those, lol!
I'll take it from there.
Soon it will be Time To Move In, so I hope you Love This House!
Included in this Chapter, a very rare song by a Former Beatle.
Take a wander through the House, and crank up the Music while you do!

Here are the links to listen, and marvel at that Color Combination of Pink & Red, at Mike Pell Rockollections:

Jon,

You'd like to hear more Joe Cocker? Just listen to any other artist unless you want to hear JC's cover version, and then buy the "Officer And A Gentleman" soundtrack. You'll be good to go!

And once again, you win this week's Most Snide And Highly Opinionated Comment Award, lol!

You'll go down as the All-Time Leader!

RJ,

Oh, and what about the White Room, or Candy's Room?

See there you go, I didn't want to get bogged down in all those rooms, I'd never get out...be like a maze, lol!

And like I said, my thoughts are moving quickly forward into other areas with the House.

RJ,
Not with only an hour a week you can't, lol!
That JCM threw me for a while- who's that?- not to mention JC, there was a more famous guy, lol!
There's a lot of Joe Cocker to like.
And yes, ONLY three staples...hahahahaha!
I think I played that Hendrix song last summer, when I was doing 1967, it's a favorite.
NOT on the U.S. release, had to get the British import.
You know, I had the SAME impression when I first heard John Hiatt's Pink Bedroom, sounded like Elvis Costello until it continued on!
And that song musically reminded you of The Smithereens?
Who are they, lol?
Spelling it correctly, the Golden Pell goes to John Hiatt, a good choice.
Tough call with that rare McCartney for me though.
As for trying to install some doors and windows, those are very hard songs to find.
Or at least for me to think of.
My mind is going in many different directions, and I am moving along quickly.
So I think moving in soon is going to happen- but I bet I have enough for TWO more weeks!
Thanks for the listen and writing, sorry about the Smithereens,
Mike

As I figured, no Room Without A View.  I think you're wrong, I think you can play them all...at least all of 'em I wanna hear.

So, eight songs, three I'm familiar with .  CSN&Y, JCM and JC.  I knew all of those.  You know, speaking of Joe Cocker, he's on my list of artists I'd like to hear more of.

Three staples: McCartney, CSN&Y and Simon.

Some songs new to me.  I liked Hendrix.  Yes, I know, you can't believe I've never heard it.  I'm not a Hendrix worshiper.  The best of these "new" songs to me were McCartney'l I Love This House and John Hiatt's Pink Bedroom.  I thought he sounded like Elvis Costello.  And the song musically reminded me of The Smithereens.  So, since McCartney has more awards than he needs, I'm giving the Golden Pell to Hiatt (not sure how you spell his name).

I really thought you might install some doors and windows next week, but maybe later.  Enjoyed it.

That would be a GOOD bet, lol!

I like the Smithereens, but you can't play 'em all- so it's a Room Without Their Sound!

Why am I willing to bet that this show won't include a song from Scott's favorite band.  I'm referring to Room Without A View by The Smithereens.
