Jon,
"most rockers were tired of the sax". Tee hee.
Do you know how difficult it is to keep your sax prominent, lol?
More filth from you...you should be ashamed!

Well Mike, one thing about these "oldies", you can play a lot more songs in a show 'cause they are generally shorter than music from the late 60's and on. Is that a good thing? I can't answer that.
I actually recognized two of the songs you played. I Can Hear Music by The Beach Boys and Mister Lonely by Bobby Vinton. And I like both of those songs.
Jon doesn't like the prominent sax, and for the most part, I agree. I prefer a guitar solo. But I guess maybe that helped shape rock music because maybe most rockers were tired of the sax and started incorporating more geetar.
Now, I was gonna give the Golden Pell to Yvonne Carroll for Mister Love Man. That was a cool song. But it was stolen away by The Orbits. I thought Mister Hardluck was great. And it featured the previously mentioned sax, how 'bout that?
Enjoyed it bro.
Dude!
Well......this is just going to be me, I think.
Other than the lovely ladies singing I just couldn't get into anything. Maybe I'm too young. Maybe it's my belief that sax should only be used in the song "Urgent".
Ok, I did like the Beach Boys song and the hot ladies.
Oh, I know what it was. "A Perfect Male Specimen".
There are no birthdays today
