ROCKOLLECTIONS: CALL ME MISTER PT.3

I can HEAR!!!
The doctor fixed me.
I can hear people talking to me, my phone ear (the left) is working again, and best of all, I can hear Music...in STEREO!
And because of that, I thought I'd take the opportunity to use Mister songs as a way to poke fun at myself.
After Music about my Wonderfulness, the next logical step would be some for all those great Miserable people out there, lol!
That sums up this Chapter pretty well.
It's a fun one.

Jon,

"most rockers were tired of the sax". Tee hee.

Do you know how difficult it is to keep your sax prominent, lol?

More filth from you...you should be ashamed!

Mike

RJ,
Good point, I can play a lot more songs in a show because they are generally shorter.
No it's not a good thing, keeps me busy scrambling for songs, lol!
I Can Hear Music by The Beach Boys is a great song, glad you know it- I expected you would, and the Vinton one too.
I like those sax parts, but the guitar hero was coming in any case.
And if you listen to that Pep Torres song from 2002, he shows moments of guitar proficiency.
So the Golden Pell was stolen by The Orbits, lol!
No kidding, that's the one I would have picked, sax and all.
Curtis Lee a respectable second place to me.
And I dug that old Marion Ryan song from the same year as the Orbits, 1957.
There's Gold in some of the Old, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing bro, glad you found stuff to like,
Mike

Jon,
It's always just you Jon, LOL!
No you are too young, the saxophone has a proud history in Rock & Roll, not to mention Jazz!
There's a sax in "Urgent", lol?
So you liked the Beach Boys song and the hot ladies (actually everybody's hot in this weather).
But that Perfect Male Specimen threw you off?
Well I said I don't like to brag, LOL!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Well Mike, one thing about these "oldies", you can play a lot more songs in a show 'cause they are generally shorter than music from the late 60's and on.  Is that a good thing?  I can't answer that.

I actually recognized two of the songs you played.  I Can Hear Music by The Beach Boys and Mister Lonely by Bobby Vinton.  And I like both of those songs.

Jon doesn't like the prominent sax, and for the most part, I agree.  I prefer a guitar solo.  But I guess maybe that helped shape rock music because maybe most rockers were tired of the sax and started incorporating more geetar.

Now, I was gonna give the Golden Pell to Yvonne Carroll for Mister Love Man.  That was a cool song. But it was stolen away by The Orbits.  I thought Mister Hardluck was great.  And it featured the previously mentioned sax, how 'bout that?

Enjoyed it bro.

Well......this is just going to be me, I think.

Other than the lovely ladies singing I just couldn't get into anything. Maybe I'm too young. Maybe it's my belief that sax should only be used in the song "Urgent".

Ok, I did like the Beach Boys song and the hot ladies.

Oh, I know what it was. "A Perfect Male Specimen".
