ROCKOLLECTIONS: CALL ME MISTER PT.5

An Acoustic Guitar, what could that mean?
It means I am turning the Mister Songs over to the Folk and Folk Rock Folk for this first half of the show.
The usual collection of songs some will know and some won't, although I would be greatly surprised if you didn't know the opener.
The only difference will be more of what have come to be known as Story Songs than you ordinarily hear.
I enjoyed doing this, but then I am a long-time Folkie!
It's Music you would have a hard time finding elsewhere.
So I invite you to join me, some very good stuff here.
Not to mention the surprising pleasure of my company.
Oh...think I just did mention that, lol!

Sometimes I surprise myself at how well I sing.

Seems to me anyway.

Oh. And I have NEVER watched the show. Just need to make that absolutely 100% known.

You have a chance at one of the early shows. The ones where they laugh contestants off the stage.

You blocked it out?

How DARE you?

American Idol...you think I have a chance, lol?

I have NEVER EVER watched that or any of those other shows!

Comment by Jon on August 11, 2013 at 7:50am

You did. And I purposely blocked it out. Still, American Idol is always looking for someone.

You didn't give me any razz...I SANG a little in this chapter, LOL!

RJ, B-17, that's the number of the song on the jukebox, right?

Too bad it's not on the discs you sent- after all, Jon liked it, lol!
But for me, I'll be doing the last show on Misters today, and I can see already that unbelievably I'll have a large bunch of songs left unplayed!

That B-17 part was lyrics to her song.

Mr. Blackwell is the bad guy on Music From The Elder.  I'm pretty sure it's not on the discs I sent you.

Jon & RJ,

No I never heard it.

I was a Rock & Roll snob back then, wouldn't be caught listening to Olivia or Carpenters or Barry Manilow, etc.

Manilow may still be on my no-fly list, but I matured and realized it's all JUST music!

B-17 is a song?

Mr. Blackwell by Kiss, it's pretty much too late now, but is that on the CD's you sent me?
I just woke up and too lazy to look for them.

Hey wait, Mr. Blackwell was that fashion guy- is it about him?

Jon is a highly opinionated man...sometimes a misguided missile...but we appreciate him, lol!

I'm very surprised you've never heard Please Mr. Please.  Don't play B-17, It was his song it was our song, but it's o-u-over.  Or somethin' like that.

But you really should have played Mr. Blackwell by Kiss.  It's from what Jon thinks is the best Kiss album ever (or, as he would actually say, the only good Kiss album).
