ROCKOLLECTIONS: CHRISTMAS PARTY 2016 PT.2

Continuing on with our Christmas Party, more Old Favorites and another tradition.
Way back, Engineer Ken and I played a version of Run Rudolph Run, and the next year we did a different version, and on and on.
This time it’s a rare old 45 RPM single by the Rolling Stones' Keith Richards from 1978 that I've played before.
After that, a little segue I hatched years ago and occasionally play again at Christmas- the Movies into Music is how that goes.
Then I'll go a little classy on you, with an amazing and beautiful guitar solo from an album it took me years to find, finally catching up to it in a Mom & Pop record store.
Then the same song that has two different titles.
One of those two songs, the instrumental one I will offer, is done in such a dignified manner, you will never guess who the band is that is playing it.
Not what we are used to hearing from them...not at all, lol!
It's another attempt to bring you an uncommon collection of Christmas songs that haven't been overkilled by commercial radio.
Just listen to and enjoy the music, simple as that!

I don't know. I only come across either at Christmas.

And I am yet to play them.

Not saying I won't, lol!

Yeah, but I believe that MS has only put out Xmas albums while TSO has non-Xmas albums. Is MS still a thing?

I should have gotten that!

And the other one is that Mannheim Steamroller right?
They only come out at Christmas, lol!

Jon.
Funny how Springsteen's initials are BS, there are times he is full of it, lol!
I never intended an upset tummy for you, it just segues nicely from The Marx Brothers.
Come on, admit it, it worked!
Wow splendid, high praise from you!
I will check out Savatage, that's what I need you for.
But I am missing some shorthand here, "BIG THING with TSO".
TSO?
Probably something obvious, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Ummmm....that BS song has been overplayed on the radio. Even once is overplayed, but I've dreadfully heard  it many more than once. Now, this time of the year is supposed to be for giving and yet you've given me an upset tummy by playing BS. Why in the blue hell would you want to do that????

The rest of the show was splendid, but still my tummy is a-hurtin'.

You should check out Savatage doing an Xmas song. Of course they turned it into a BIG THING with TSO, but the start was with Savatage. QUiute unexpected from a metal band.
