No.

If I think of a song, I must like it somehow someway- but then I might think of it because I DON'T like it!

So I may choose not to play it, and people would never know.

But I even played the shitty KC & Sunshine Band, lol!

So nothing is really off-limits, I always think someone must like it.

And I long ago realized that whatever I play, some will dig it, others won't...it no longer matters to me!

Have you ever purged a song?

Comment by Mike Pell on October 4, 2012 at 6:59pm

Hey you hump, I am going to make that damn song my new THEME, LOL!

And thinking of changing my name to Mike CHESNEY!

Nobody purges songs on my show except me.

Comment by Jon on October 4, 2012 at 5:07pm

Sure it is. It is right to purge!

RJ,
That Kinky Boots song that kicked the show off was not to be taken seriously, just a historical curiousity.
Everybody knows and likes Nancy's song, so that is why I did my mental prediction, lol!
Good you liked the Four Bitchin' Babes, I enjoy them immensely.
The Golden Pell to the Jeff Beck Group for Spanish Boots is a dynamite choice!
I hadn't heard it in years and forgot what a heavy sound sound that was for 1969!
They were terrific, and there are even more excellent songs on Beck-Ola.
If you are adding it to your Amazon list, I did my job!
That's right, I didn't play Kenny Chesney in full.
But hell, I like that song no matter who doesn't, and whoever doesn't will not dictate what I play, lol!
It's not right to purge the song from the world because one or two people don't like it!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

I'm not crazy about the Kinky Boots song that kicked the show off.   But I do like Nancy's song.  I too cannot help but think of Full Metal Jacket anytime I hear it.  I'll say out of the songs I knew, this was the best one.

I actually thought the Wild Thing cover was pretty cool.  They sounded quite nice, and I thought it might be the Bangles at first.

The Dylan song was okay, but the Traffic song (Hole In My Shoe) was better.  Even better than that was the winner of the Golden Pell.  It goes to the Jeff Beck Group for Spanish Boots.  That song is killer.  Great vocals by Rod and exceptional geetar play by Beck.  Wow, I'm gonna get this album.  I'll be adding it to my Amazon wish list very shortly.

As far as I'm concerned, you could play Kenny Chesney all you want, I actually like his music.  Except for this song.  I don't like it, but luckily we didn't have to hear very much.

In New York, if I said anything THIS, I would mean my dick!

THAT what you mean?

Comment by Jon on October 2, 2012 at 7:00pm

Yeah right. Like you'll do a show featuring only Kenny Chesney. Sure you will.

Spell it out? No way! Figure it out, man!

And you're from New York?

Comment by Mike Pell on October 2, 2012 at 5:29pm

Ahhh...respect THIS!

What?

I don't think I get it, you may need to spell it out.

And no more what...Kenny Chesney?

ALL Chesney, ALL the Time!
