Jon,
You were correct the first time, it is a repeat, lol!
And yes the Derby is always on a Saturday.
You’d be good to consult sometimes, since I don’t know and probably never heard Crazy Horses by the Osmonds or Bad Horsie" by Steve Vai.
Wait, the Osmonds?
I doubt I have EVER played the Osmonds- I am far too hip, lol!
Most people did like the Flying Burritos version, the first released, of Wild Horses.
Depressing? Which?
Was it Dan Fogelberg?
Sorry if I bummed your mood, but thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike
So, I was thinking that this was maybe a repeat since I swear Wild Horses had been mentioned before.
Therefore, I did my due diligence and checked when this year's Derby would be run and it's this Saturday.
Now I don't think it's a repeat, but it actually could be since the Derby is always on a Saturday unless it was postponed before, which, for some reason, I think it was? Probably not. But I'm covering all bases!
Now, for horsey songs, the two that come to mind are "Crazy Horses" by the Osmonds since it's just so batshit crazy ESPECIALLY from the Osmonds. THe other is "Bad Horsie" by Steve Vai.
None of those were played on this part, of course. But the WH version here is as good as the Stones version. It's about the same, but is still different.
Overall, this was a nice show. One of the songs was a bit depressing (and you know which one), but that's ok.
Really. It is!
