ROCKOLLECTIONS: LOVE AND MARRIAGE PT.2

And this Lifelong Bachelor continues with Love and Marriage....some nerve, lol!
To open this Episode I'll have some Trivia about June Weddings, and a Mixed Bag Set of Music.
Then, throughout the History of Rock & Roll there have been songs about being Too Young To Get Married.
A nice fuzzy little subject for Song, but in real life something that comes with Mixed Results.
So I'll start off lighthearted and gradually get more serious as we go along.
Give a listen, it will be interesting, fun, and hopefully both!
To be continued next week.

RJ,
I too thought the second half was stronger, in fact so was I, lol!
I have been dragging through the shows lately- time for a vacation.
Well, I felt this one coming, the Golden Pell to the Hollies for Too Young To Be Married!
Sometimes I can pick 'em.
You are on to something too.
I like it, three goals, but TWO goalies, and three balls going at one time!
That open net might make for some scoring,,,and worthwhile highlights I can watch, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Not really in a typing mood today, so this will be short.  Good show.  I thought the second half of this half was a bit stronger.

J. Geils was cool, and any of the last four cuts could be the Golden Pell recipient.  But, I'm going with The Hollies for Too Young To Be Married.

I think Jon is on to something.  Maybe three goals across the base line (or whatever it is called in soccer), one goalie in each, and three balls going at one time, kinda like pinball.  Then I might even watch some of it.

I like it, and put it in the center of the field- that's where all the so-called action is, lol!

Those BASTARDS...don't know a good idea when they hear one!

You know, if the goal was the width of the field with one goalie, soccer would be more fun. Bastards at FIFA don't like my suggestion.

Jon,
That it was, I was more peppy too.
Ah, the cooling, wash away your troubles effect of rain- no reason to be depressed there.
The fact that everyone on CRB thinks you're a madman might be though, lol!
It's not just the Romans that were smelly, but pretty much all of civilization.
I took my annual communal bath, did you, lol?
I LIKE the J. Geils Band live album!
You learn me things, especially from during my Dark Ages period.
Half the surprise may have been it was the Turtles.
The last two songs were the serious ones.
But you are RIGHT Jon, and I'll quote you, "every song was good. If someone says differently, they're both wrong and stupid."
And LET'S GO METS!!!!!
Beats those pompous asses watching the incredibly boring World Cup soccer.
Suddenly they're experts.
Hockey is the same game, just on ICE, put an object into a net- but rougher, more dangerous, faster played on ice, and just all around more exciting.
Sure beats watching a 0-0 game for 90 minutes.
I'd say just show me 30 seconds of highlights, but for a 0-0 game?
Are there any, lol?
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

This show was more upbeat than the last one. I didn't feel depressed after listening even though it's raining outside. But I like the rain so I wouldn't be depressed because of that.

So, a history lesson. Romans were smelly. They didn't mention that in "Caligula". Maybe they did and I wasn't paying attention.

So, The J. Geils Band releases the biggest selling album of their career and the followup is a crappy live album then the lead singer is fired and they release one more album and that's it. Brilliance.

I was going to say that song was from a movie but you did. One day I'll learn you something.

The last two songs (not the one you talked over, how dare you) were the best songs on this show, but every song was good. If someone says differently, they're both wrong and stupid.

LET'S GO METS!!!!!
