Classic Rock Bottom

I'll close out the Mardi Gras here, but will be staying in New Orleans for another show next week I am pretty sure, but maybe in the future.
Depends on a few variables.
The opening song in this last half of Mardi Gras may surprise you- a B-side of a single by a guy you surely know.
Then an authentic New Orleans Indian group doing a song for Mardi Gras (we talked about them in the 1st half), with the leader of the group, Bo Dellis, declaring himself a Big Chief.
Of course that made me think of an instrumental...and...well you know how my mind works, lol!
More notable and pioneering New Orleans musicians in this one.
Including what I consider the Musical First Family of the Big Easy.

Thanks for writing, and listening... you got the hat trick, lol!

Third times the charm? Still like it, forgot about the Paul McCartney tune. Spies Like Us.....Doctor. Doctor. Doctor. Doctor. Doctor. Doctor. Aaaaaaand Doctor.

Sorry, couldn't refuse!

That's a good idea Jon, I think I'll listen to it Monday at work myself...screw work!
The acid?
NOOOOOOO!
How could that have anything to do with it, lol?

Too bad you don't get a kickback for everytime someone listens! I'll give it a go again Monday at work, to hell with actually working.

And this time I'll lay off the acid..maybe that had something to do with it?

Jon,
Not sad, people never seem to leave alone a boozehound/acid dropping Mardi Gras celebrator, LOL!
Professor Longhair was in there alright, and Art Neville was not backup but on an annual song that HAS to be played for Mardi Gras.
I did play the resulting Meters, but not the Neville Brothers.
Hell, you need to listen again...yeah...that's the ticket, lol!
Thanks for your usual funny never sad self,
Mike

This is kind of sad....

I listened to this TWICE today because people at work were bugging the crap out of me so I had to listen to the end and start again.

However, even though I can't remember a song name, I did like everything I heard. Every song was really good, but for the life of me I only remember Longhair and a Neville singing backup on one song.

Hell, maybe I need to listen again!
