ROCKOLLECTIONS: PET SOUNDS AT 50 PT.1

It’s hard to believe, but these things are always hard to believe.
The Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds is 50 Years Old!
It was released May 16, 1966, and back then got a lukewarm reception here in the U.S.
Over in England however, it was a smash!
But over the years it has become critically acclaimed worldwide- even here, lol!
The idea here is, much like with Sgt. Pepper At 45, to recreate the album using inventive Cover Versions.
Unlike that project, I will drag Pet Sounds forward, using only 21st Century Groups and Artists, with the songs performed in the order as they first appeared!
I prefer the Original Beach Boys album.
But there is surprisingly likable Music in here.

Eh. I got a 3D bluray player for around $35, so it wasn't a complete waste. Nothing else really grabbed my attention.

But it's ok.

I dunno about this one, Mr. Pell.

I've heard The Wall Of Sound but that first song was A Wall Of WTF???? I don't want to say anything bad about it, but it was not good at all. Then, the rest of the songs all sounded the same, all plodding along.  

Yeah.....

This does absolutely nothing for me and now I feel like a jerk considering all the hard work you put into this but......

......it's Amazon Prime Day so I'm still going to celebrate!

Oh, and I have listened to this three times in a row (so far) and nothing is changing my mind.
