ROCKOLLECTIONS: SPRING DAYDREAMING LAZINESS

Naturally when I recorded this last Friday morning it was 41 degrees and pouring rain.
So expect a beautiful week coming up, lol!
In keeping with the Springtime Daydreaming Laziness of this Chapter- and incidentally, that is the primary stop along the way here, but not the only one- I have little inclination to write.
Just find a comfortable place and position, and I'll do all the work.
You need only listen.
And enjoy...there's some good Music here!

Here are the links to listen, if you can muster up the energy in the Spring Season, at Mike Pell Rockollections:

No, but that's not so bad if it's from your own organ.

Could be worse.

"Don't Eat The Yellow Snow"?

I'll have the PERFECT song for you in the next episode.

An educational one just for this type situation, lol!

"holding onto that organ". tee hee...wait, I don't get it?

Jon,
Oh no...you went to the doldrums!
Are you OFF THOSE MEDS AGAIN, LOL?
Good thing I had Deep Purple in there, who knows what might have resulted?
Now this:

man, that organ is stirring...kinda like mine

With an asterisk and all!
And I thought we were going to bring class to this place?
For shame!
Get back to those doldrums, and don't come out until you behave yourself.
I would never say anything like that...I would say worse, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing, and hold onto that organ,
Mike

RJ,
Crappy day here in terms of cloudy & rainy today, but warmer.
Now to us FM people here in New York City that Richie Havens song is as well known and almost as popular as the Beatles original.
And right away the Golden Pell goes to Pentangle for Springtime Promises...wow!
Wasn't sure how people would take to that, sounds a bit dated although I still like it.
I hadn't thought of it, but if there is one group they might sound like it would be Jethro Tull.
You never liked Lazy Day with those fantastic harmonies...what is wrong with you, lol?
That other one, Oh What A Lovely Day, is considered now to be what is called Sunshine Pop, and I get a number of requests (demands?) for that kind of stuff.
Back in '68 when it was out, it was just considered to be Music, no label, lol!
Deep Purple is still making albums?
Hey, no mention of my man and my group, John Sebastian & The Lovin' Spoonful?
That's a great song for a nice Spring day!
That Podomatic was working for a while with the comments, then went off the rails again.
Happy to pick-you-up bro, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

I dunno...this kinda left me in the doldrums and the sun was out here for a little while. Deep Purple did pick me up (man, that organ is stirring*) but the rest was...eh. I dunno.

*kinda like mine

Hey Mike, crappy day here, so glad to get to this.

I know you love Richie Havens, but this song isn't one of his best, my opinion of course.  However, the following song by Pentangle (Springtime Promises) was so good that I'm awarding it the Golden Pell.  How good was that guitar work?  And they sounded like Jethro Tull.  Very nice pick here.

I liked Springtime In Manhattan by Tony Bennett, that was cool.  But the next two songs (Oh What A Lovely Day and Lazy Day) are kind of goofy.  As a matter of fact, I've never really liked the latter.

The final song by Deep Purple was awesome.  They have a new album coming out real soon.

This show was a real pick-me-up!  Thanks bro.
