Making a few stops along the way in this ambitious and overrated Summer Series, this is the first Chapter of Summer Activities.
Starting with what we all look forward to- VACATION!
With the hot, sticky, sweaty, disgusting Heat and Humidity we’ve had lately, not going to work and sitting in front of air conditioning may be your simple goal.
But really no Activity is necessary, you can be lazy...it’s YOUR Vacation!
We Yanks go on Vacation, the British go on Holiday!
And I will note that minor wordy difference.
Also a nod, and a low blow, to the Summer Olympic Games, lol!

Jon,

That Vacation or Holiday thing was a brief stop, didn't want to get caught up in it.

Cliff Richards made a slight dent here, but no big deal.

His group The Shadows were kinda like our Ventures, had hits on their own.

Gee, I don't know who he did a duet with.

Now you have me thinking of Leo Sayer albums where he might be doing a split on the cover!

WHY DO YOU DO THAT?

I really don't know what the hell you're getting at either, lol!

Me too, I confess I didn't watch any Olympics either.

I love Hockey so Winter is what I'll watch.

But this is the best you can say?, "Well, I don't think I was bored with this show".

How dare you, lol?

Love it when you go off like this- "But why did I only refer to Cliff Richards and The Olympics and none of the other songs? WHAT IN THE BLUE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME????????????????????"

Interesting.

Some songs I expected with either "Vacation" or "Holiday" in the title, but they weren't played.

Interesting.

Cliff Richards never made it big over here for some reason. He did a duet with someone that was a hit here I think. Maybe Olivia Newton-John? "Suddenly"? Who knows. Maybe there is a reason why he wasn't big here. Maybe he was and I just didn't pay attention and just don't care.

I think of Cliff Richards and then I think of Leo Sayers and some album he had where he's doing a jumping split on the album cover. Or something like that.

I really don't know what the hell I'm getting at.

Yeah....The Olympics. I haven't watched one second. It just doesn't seem special any longer. Maybe I have no pride. Maybe I just don't care. Maybe I STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M GETTING AT.

Well, I don't think I was bored with this show so maybe that's what I'm getting at.
