Since I played all 2000's Music last week, it seemed like a good time to go back to the 60's for The Poets.
I have chosen 5 Topics for The 60's Poets, and I will randomly over time return to them- for this Maiden Voyage the topic is Loneliness.
This is something Scott Muni used to do in his early years at WNEW-FM.
The 60's Poets were more relevant and understandable than the ones I later learned in school from their own time- the likes of Frost, Keats, Tennyson, etc.
To this impressionable kid, The 60's Poets were spellbinding!
Still today, these Songs Read Well Written Down On Paper!
Never mind the Music, the Arrangements.
I ask you to Please Listen To The Words...The Lyrics, of the 60's Poets.
And their Thoughts and Stories, on the Subject Of Loneliness!

Whew.
After last week's debacle (you know, IMHOWINEW) you totally redeemed yourself with this one.
I'm alone in the house unless you want to count the cats. One of 'em sits here whenever I'm playing music, must like it or something. Or I'm a tempting treat and it's waiting for me to die.
Huh. Gonna have to think about that one for a bit. It IS a black cat, but not totally black so it's not totally evil.
Oh, and I did notice the different version of that S&G song. Still want to know what a "cancer roll" is. Must be a 60's thing.
There are no birthdays today
