ROCKOLLECTIONS: THE AUTUMN SHOW 2014 PT.2 END

After such a mild, beautiful Summer for us here in NYC, it is simple to ease into Autumn.
Plus we have that annual phenomenon to look forward to and enjoy...Indian Summer!
That will be fully noted in this Closing Half of my Salute To Autumn.
You can feel the Changes- the air is brisk and cool, the nights are great for sleeping.
Of course we are just beginning to see Nature's Color Show.
And let's not forget the Harvest!
Seems to me, the best, most delicious crops of tomatoes, corn, apples and more, are being harvested.
I was deeply touched by a particular memory in here, so much so I couldn't speak.
As a result, it seems to me this is a nice Episode to snuggle up with someone, maybe have a little mulled wine, and appreciate they are still in your life.
On a chilly Autumn evening.

RJ,
This is very interesting, chronicling the show as you go.
You guessed the title Indian Summer.
And who else but me would play 5 songs in a row with that title, lol?
You nicely picked up on Joe Walsh and that guitar made you think of The Doors!
I like talking, but I knew I would be tight for time, plus I didn't want to interrupt the 5.
It would ruin the mood.
A laid back, somewhat acoustic, easy listening vibe for a lazy Sunday...OR a First Day Of Autumn!
Upon hearing it, most people think that is The Moody Blues- they probably are on there, helping their member Justin Hayward.
And he snatches victory from the early favorite Joe Walsh, as Justin wins the coveted Golden Pell!
That was like a Horse Race, lol!
Forever Autumn!
Thanks for the listen and writing bro, it was a fun read,
Mike

Typing as I listen today (a rare Sunday listen):

1. Nice tune.  Smooth.  I recognize that voice, but as usual, can't think of who it is.

2. I really like how laid back this is.  Indian Summer I'm guessing is the title.  Sounds like Joe Walsh.  He has a strange voice, but it's terrific.  Love to hear him sing.  This will most likely win the Golden Pell.  Time wil tell.

3. Another nice, easy listening track.  I like this acoustic, easy listening vibe you have going Mike.

4. The guitar in this tune really makes me think of The End by The Doors.

5.  Five straight songs to kick the show off.  Must not be in a talking mood.  Another song that's probably titled Indian Summer.  Still have that easy listening mood going.  Nice.

Ah, Al Stewart on that first track.  I knew he was familiar.  And it was the Doors, so that's probably why that guitar lick sounded so much like The End.

6. Harvest Moon, makes me wanna take a nap, especially being Sunday and all.

7. Neil Young this time.  This one's a bit better than the previous one.  We're still laid back, and I'm still liking that.

8. Oh, this track is gonna give Joe a run for his money.  This is really a great sounding song.  Who is it?  The Moody Blues maybe?  Just a great track, musically and lyrically.  Sorry Joe, looks like you got clipped right at the end of the show.  This song wins the coveted Golden Pell.

Close.  Forever Autumn by Justin Heyward.  Nice show brother.

Jon,
There is no global warming, it's weather...you know, weather!
And weather freakin' changes!
Only idjits believe in global warming, lol!
This is interesting, "Never paid attention if songs were about autumn, I just didn't care. Now I know these songs are about autumn and yet I still don't care. They're just really good songs."
They are good songs, but since it's a Theme you should care, otherwise you won't get why I am playing them.
But I l know you are only playing dumb!
You have quite the collection?
But not Oliver Hardy?
A contradiction, lol!
Thanks for the listen and writing, and saying nice two-parter- proves you DID get it,
Mike

You know why? Because of global warming, that's why!

This was a fine, fine show. Never paid attention if songs were about autumn, I just didn't care. Now I know these songs are about autumn and yet I still don't care. They're just really good songs.

I actually have all these songs except for the Oliver Hardy song. I have quite the collection.

Nice two-parter!
