Typing as I listen today (a rare Sunday listen):
1. Nice tune. Smooth. I recognize that voice, but as usual, can't think of who it is.
2. I really like how laid back this is. Indian Summer I'm guessing is the title. Sounds like Joe Walsh. He has a strange voice, but it's terrific. Love to hear him sing. This will most likely win the Golden Pell. Time wil tell.
3. Another nice, easy listening track. I like this acoustic, easy listening vibe you have going Mike.
4. The guitar in this tune really makes me think of The End by The Doors.
5. Five straight songs to kick the show off. Must not be in a talking mood. Another song that's probably titled Indian Summer. Still have that easy listening mood going. Nice.
Ah, Al Stewart on that first track. I knew he was familiar. And it was the Doors, so that's probably why that guitar lick sounded so much like The End.
6. Harvest Moon, makes me wanna take a nap, especially being Sunday and all.
7. Neil Young this time. This one's a bit better than the previous one. We're still laid back, and I'm still liking that.
8. Oh, this track is gonna give Joe a run for his money. This is really a great sounding song. Who is it? The Moody Blues maybe? Just a great track, musically and lyrically. Sorry Joe, looks like you got clipped right at the end of the show. This song wins the coveted Golden Pell.
Close. Forever Autumn by Justin Heyward. Nice show brother.
You know why? Because of global warming, that's why!
This was a fine, fine show. Never paid attention if songs were about autumn, I just didn't care. Now I know these songs are about autumn and yet I still don't care. They're just really good songs.
I actually have all these songs except for the Oliver Hardy song. I have quite the collection.
Nice two-parter!
