For the first show of the New Year, a few songs for the Turning Of The Year.
The Passage of Time.
Life is pretty much all about Time!
We look at Time with a mixture of happiness and regret.
And there are so many songs about it, I have long wanted to do a Series on the subject of Time.
The Time Has Come.
It may be just me, but I think this is going to be good!

Hadn't realized you heard Wasted On The Way.

Must be from my Dark Period so I figure nobody did, lol!

The Classic Pell is PROOF you are a very smart man, more than I can say for myself, LOL!

The Golden Pell was created to award a terrific song that I had never heard before.  So I could not have, under any circumstances, given it to Wasted On The Way, because I've heard it many times.  But that's why I created the Classic Pell.  I'm a very smart man...

But that song by The Chambers Brothers is a Classic, got a lot of play during the FM Underground days.

And I knew I would start with it for Time!

Wasted Time by The Eagles, hadn't thought of that dammit, but it would have taken me past the time limit.

The two I did pick were a Point/Counterpoint.

I like that Magna Carta song, especially the talking, lol!

And it gets the Golden Pell anyway.

I thought they were all good, but I would have given it to Wasted On The Way!

I think I got the repetitious the first time, lol!

Hey I like that Magna Carta song!

Good ears, picking up on the Chambers Brothers dipping into Little Drummer Boy.

Compared to Chambers Brothers, anything coming after would seem short, lol!

CS&N and the Allman Brothers said what I wanted- and that is a GREAT CS&N song that seemed to go kind of unnoticed.

I may have played some of these before for the New Year, and that may be why this show seems familiar, but it is a new one.

Believe it or not, Jon's thoughts on the first three songs pretty much mirror mine. The song by The Chambers Brothers is very "time" consuming.

The last two songs were nice additions, but I would have added Wasted Time by The Eagles. Probably because that's my favorite Eagles song.

Looks like the Golden Pell is going to Magna Carta, even though the spoken part isn't very good.

That GH song got quite repetitious after awhile yet it sticks in your head because it's so repetitious. Still, it's repetitious. 

The guitar in thet Magna Carta song sounded like something by Wishbone Ash. I guess it was allright, but the talking was kinds meh. 

Hey, that song from The Chambers Bros is a little late considering that you can hear "The Little Drummer Boy" when it goes all psychedelic.

Man, that CS&N song is REALLY short after listening the TCB. I mean, REALLY short.

So does the Allman Bros song.  

For some reason this show seems familiar. Probably isn't, but it just seems like it is. Now, if you play some Alan Parsons Project in an upcoming show, then I'll REALLY think it's REALLY familiar.
