Well Valentine's Day has come and gone, and of course I hope you had a great one.
This week, the Valentines Hangover- a NOT all sweetness, flowers and candy Musical Investigation of the other side of Love- for that faction who wants nothing to do with it, and all others who have been stung by it.
In other words, if you are over the age of 10, you will relate, lol!
Answering my own challenge, I managed to do this entire first half hour with all songs that begin with the word "Love"!
What an obsessive I can be, lol!

I agree again, people heartbroken have lived it and bring it to the songs, you can hear it!

I call them Love Lost.

Wanted to play Nazareth, mentioned them, but didn't even have time for all of Orbison.

It was Love On the Wrong Side of Town, and you do remember correctly.

Told you my faves for Spooky Tooth, with Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes nothing ever came close to their 1st album, I Don't Want To Go Home- it's a Classic!

The Golden Pell to Linda Ronstadt for Love Has No Pride, and that is a beauty.

Maybe Joan Baez, but that's probably THE one!

Three straight episodes, lay down for 12 hours and don't operate heavy machinery, lol!

Good guess, you are sharp!

The Linda Rondstadt song was not really a cover- no one else had a hit with it, even hers wasn't a big one.

But of course, she didn't write it!

If you consider the Everlys did it first, then Roy Orbison, Nazareth was the one doing the covering.

So, YOUAREWRONG, LOL!

I don't know, what WAS the song on the European version of Hair Of The Dog?

Too many to count the number of songs that start with Love!

Quite honestly, this is the best side of love to listen to music on.  People who are heartbroken write the best damn songs. 

Love Stinks was a terrific opener, even if it was a pretty obvious choice.

And you played the Everly Bros. and Roy Orbison's version of Love Hurts.  Cool move.  But you should have squeezed Nazareth in there as well.  That's what I was expecting.  

And you played yet another cool song by Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes.  I think it was Love On the Wrong Side of Town.  That's two recent tracks by them if I remember correctly.  Looks like I need some direction on SJ and the AJ's and Spooky Tooth.  What do you recommend?

Oh, I almost forgot, Golden Pell to Linda Ronstadt for Love Has No Pride.  Very beautiful performance by her. I need some of her work too.

Whatever it is, this was a good show. I'm going to guess again and say that the Linda Rondstadt song was a cover.

Wow. Lots of people covered that Nazareth song, amiright? AMIRIGHT???!!!!!

So, what was the song on the European version of Hair Of The Dog? The US version had "Love Hurts" but the European/Canadian version did not have that song. 

I'm going to guess again and say that there's probably a ton of song that start with "Love". AMIRIGHT???!!!!!
