Classic Rock Bottom

More Whistling In The 60's, that Great Decade for it!
And a large part of the Music Of The 60's was Folk, and later Folk Rock.
Naturally I'll have some of that for you, as well as just some wandering around the Decade.
At the end of this Episode, I skipped ahead a bit into the 70's for a Live Lost Classic from the old Fillmore East.
But I do have a couple left from the 60's I will get to next week.
Keep Whistling and Enjoy!

RJ,
This Series seems to be coming out well, of course it was years in the making, lol!
I always return to the staples, and more of them coming.
I think you simply are almost as much a Gordon Lightfoot fan as I am!
And that is probably the oldest song I ever played by him.
Had some competition in there, but the Golden Pell goes to Gordon Lightfoot for Ribbon Of Darkness!
Anytime I can turn somebody on to a Gordo song I'm happy!
Judging by suggestions I received, people figured I would get around to Otis Redding.
Thanks for the listen and writing, and the good job feeling,
Mike

Jon,
It was just a matter of time before I went off into eclectic, lol!
That's a good question, what if you couldn't whistle while in concert?
If it is that important to the song, a backup whistler would be called for.
Sort of an understudy, lol!
Here's why don't I have a of Whistler's mother- because it's just their name.
Kinda like why I didn't have a of somebody named Patrick for St. Patrick's Day
That would NOT fit in, LOL!
Thanks for the listen and writing,
Mike

Another good show Mike.

A few staples here, Simon and Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot and Harry Nilsson.

I really liked that song by The Clancy Brothers, but I have to give the Golden Pell to my boy Gordon Lightfoot.  I just like everything I hear by him.  Ribbon Of Darkness was cool.

I was pretty sure you'd get around to Otis Redding.  That is a tremendous, classic song right there.

Good job my friend.

Another fine show, Mike. A bit more eclectic than the others, but it still did me good. Just wondering, what if you couldn't whistle while in concert? Sometimes you just can't whistle, know what I mean? Would you have a backup whistler?

Why don't you have a picture of Whistler's mother? That would fit in.
