Can't say I'm a big fan of this album. It's not terrible. There are bright spots like Ricochet, So Divine and Break of Dawn. But unlike you Jay, I'm not a fan at all of the song Cross My Heart. As much as I like Tesla, I don't think this would make my Top 20 list of 2014.

Was excited when I heard about them releasing this, was hoping for something better though.  I never made it past the NMC post of the album on here.

I don't have a problem with this album, except for "Honestly". Not a good song at all. It won't make my top 10 of the year, but I still dig it.

Enjoyed reading the review. But I do think this release is very, very good. Dont have a problem with the first 4 tracks, either. There is one song where Jeff Keith really seems to struggle vocally on that particular number...it may be the one Jon is referring too.

Funny enough, I have this CD in my car at this very moment, and listened to the first 5 tracks or so on the ride in. Will listen to the rest going home. It is better, in my opinion, by far, than the last studio release, "Forever More". Nothing in this album at all will make me change the fact that Tesla is one of my all time favorite bands. Strong release and another "nugget" in the catalog.

Gordon,

Unfortunately for me, I haven't picked up the last couple of Tesla releases and what little I've heard from them didn't do much for me. But Forever More is on my To Buy List (should I ever hit the lottery).

I'll probably give the disc another listen before finalizing my two best of lists.

Thanks for the feedback.

I honestly think "Forever More" is the weakest of all Tesla's studio albums. Having said that, I still like it, and would say it is in medium rotation. A weak Tesla album is still pretty good to me!!

I do think their comeback, from 2004, "Into The Now" is also a great record. And I believe that covers all 3 of their "new music" releases since the band reformed. I do also have their live DVD from 2008, and that show, that set list, and the really strong quality of both the audio and video portions are outstanding in my opinion.

Keep up the good work, TageRyche!
