Classic Rock Bottom

Okay, so what movies from the year 2011 have you seen? Want to see?

Well, so far that I can remember I've seen:

Get Low starring Robert Duvall about a hermit in the 1930's who goes about having a funeral party BEFORE his death. I'm not quite sure what I was expecting but despite my fandom for Duvall, I was disappointed in this movie.

Last night I went to theater and saw the movie Hanna. Saoirse Ronan was good in the title role but otherwise this movie was a let down as well. Cate Blanchett's southern accent was distracting, the quick cut camera editing was annoying and when the reason why everyone wanted Hanna was revealed, all I could think was that they kind of ripped off the comic book back story of Captain America a bit.

Other movies I'm looking forward to seeing are: Green Lantern, Thor, Conan The Barbarian, Fast Five and Beautiful Boy. The last one is about parents who hear about a shooting on a campus where there son goes to school, only to find out it was their son who did the shootings. I saw the trailer on On Demand and it looked intense.

We don't go to theaters much anymore, just buy whatever interests us (me) on Blu Ray when it comes out. So....nothing so far this year.
I don't go to theater much either, just for a movie that I don't want to wait to see. Maybe 5 times a year.
You have me beaten. The only movies I will actually go see in a theater now are James Bond, but have awhile to wait for the next one. We actually went to the theater once last year, and that was for "Machete". Had free movie tickets, wanted to use them for "Piranha" but something came up and held onto them until I found something worthy of seeing in a theater.
Cant say Im in touch with the movie industry much.  I do love a good Pixar flick in 3D and on an IMAX screen though.  However, I did go see True Grit with Jeff Bridges and that was better than average.
I agree on True Grit, it was pretty good.

We go see an occasional movie.  My wife and I saw "I Am Number 4" (I think that's the title).  It was fair.  Just last week we saw "Source Code", which was better than the other one. We also rented Hereafter (with Leonardo DiCaprio), which my wife really wanted to see, but it was pretty bad.

My son and I saw True Grit not too long ago, although that movie was from 2010 I believe.

I want to see The Hangover II when it comes out, and I wouldn't mind seeing the Foo Fighters documentary when it comes out.

I'm pretty sure Hereafter had Matt Damon in it, not DiCaprio. It's the one about some psychic guy right?

I will see True Grit but not until it comes on On Demand.

Yes, you are right.  Wrong guy.
I'm also looking forward to Thor, captain America and The Green Lantern, having read the comic's as a kid. I have'nt seen that many movie's from ´11 yet, but I would like to see "Get Low" (love Duvall and Murray), The Fighter and True Gritt (even though, I'm afraid to compare it with the John Wayne-movie the whole way through).
I wanna see "The Fighter" as well...
The Fighter was pretty good.
I went and saw Fast Five today. Thoroughly enjoyed it. There is a second ending midway through the credits. It totally invalidates the motivations behind the events of the fourth movie.
