Someone mentioned my name, or..allmost!

DLR was one of the best front-men in both the 70's and the 80's. You COULD say, that the 80's started in '81, just like some said the "new" millenium started in 2001, so we can also count the "Women And Children First"-tour.

I think, that Ozzy definetly belongs on this list from the 70's, well I don't really think he belongs on a list from the 80's. I saw him live in january '83, and even then, he just walked from one side of the stage to the other, clapping his hands and shouted out all the time "Lets go f...... crazy". That's not one of the best frontmen in my eyes.

I included Deb Harry for a reason. One, there is a very limited group of front women, so to come up with a definitive list is a difficult one. Blondie were a male band with a female singer and she just nailed it. Great stage prescence, just amazing. I really think that she belongs in any Top list, regardless of gender and that is why I included her. I thought about the topic for quite a while and came up with three or four lists on which frontmen/women entertain me the most and her name just kept coming up. If I have to replace her, I will go with Phil Lynott.

Wow I whiffed on Phil Lynott!!!  I may have to replace him on mine as well...

So my revised list is....

5. Steven Tyler

4. Phil Lynott

3. Freeddie Mercury

2. Roger Daltrey

1. Roobert Plant

Good catch Scandal!!!  Should I consider him a replacement of Deborah Harry in your list as well?

Was Lynott on anybody's original list?  I don't remember seeing him, but I could be wrong.  But, I was surprised by that 'cause I know there are some Phil Lynott fans on CRB.

Surprisingly No!

LOL-Controversy, controversy! If I don't have to replace Deb Harry keep her on my list. I want to stay within the rules, so if Deb Harry can't be included, then replace her with Phil Lynott.

I don't think you should have to replace Debbie Harry.  Frontman is a generic term for the ringmaster.  Blondie's ringmaster happened to be a woman.  That should not count against her.  I'm not saying she would be on my list, but I think it's perfectly fine that she's on yours.

But he underlined MEN.

Im ok with it, it his list and his opinion, I an emjoying the conversation immensely!

Scott, I think you should "Share" the original post on FB.

Crap!  I didn't notice that the words were separated and MEN was underlined.  I take back what I said then.

5. Alice Cooper

4. Paul Stanley

3. Frieddie Mercury

2. Mick Jagger

1. Robert Plant
