That's the name of the game Jon!  Does your mother know your behaving this way?

She does cause I do, I do, I do!

Tawny Kitaen was one hot looking woman. Oh wait, she wasn't in the band.

EDIT: Didn't notice RJ had already mentioned that in his observations. LOL

I love this album. Nothing more needs be said.

But for those wondering, I am a huge fan of all versions of Whitesnake. I love the bluesy rock sound before they became famous and I love the Aquanet days too. And given that Forevermore was my top album last year, I love the elder statesmen version of the band as well.

I have a bunch of their older material and there is a LOT of good stuff to be heard.

A couple of my favorite songs from pre-huge fame days are "Wine Women and Song" and "Walking In The Shadow of the Blues" (the live version on the live album "Live...In The Heart of the City" is smoking.) And there is a slightly different version of "Cryin' In The Rain" on one of the previous albums as well.

Saints & Sinners has "Cryin'" as well as "Here I Go Again". What would be interesting if a couple people were to post the two different versions of "Slide It In", see which one folks like better.

Oh and there is two versions of "Here I Go Again". The older version has a word change that throws off the song and the change with the 1987 version was much better.

This was were it all went wrong between me an Whitesnake. The two previous albums were/are the two best albums, Whitesnake ever did. For cryin' out loud, the two best tracks on this albums allready appeared on "Saint And Sinners" from 1983, and the original versions are still the best. "Still Of The Night" is Coverdale trying to sound like Zeppelin. I was schoked when this album went to the top. The next Whitesnake album was even worse than this.

THe last three songs on this album are quite bad. Filler stuff, and "Children Of The Night" sounded like a rejected Dio song. The geetaring is awesome throughout the album, but the songs are just stale now. I did like this album when it first came out, but the more I listened to it, the less I liked it. "Slide It In" totally crushes and then kills this album. If I never have to see any of the videos from this album again, I would be happy. If I want to see Tawny, I'll just watch "Bachelor Party" or "The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak".

Niels is right about the followup, it is somehow worse than this one.

I totally dislike this album, Coverdales vocals etc.!!! I do not have an open mind on this one! I Will Not Listen! Just scrape some nails on a chalkboard!

YOU MUST LISTEN. Hey, I did. I'm still alive. I think.

Mike, it's in the rules, you must listen.

Begrudgingly, I followed the rules & listened to this, as open minded as I possibly could. It didn't change the fact that I hate Coverdales's vocals! His voice sounds strained & pushed, seems like he's trying to hard. None of this is enjoyable for me, not even the hits. There is some good guitar playing on here, even Adrian Vandenberg, who's great, but not enough to make me want to listen to this ever again.
