I'm still listening a lot to Steve Hackett's "Genesis Revisited II" and it is a pure Prog-masterpiece.

Among the leadsingers are Steven Wilson, Michael Aakerfeldt and Neal Morse, yeah even Nik Kershaw, and they do a great job.

Even if you don't know much about the Peter Gabriel-version of Genesis, this is very enjoyable.

This is the longest track on the double-album, and it's a very wellknow Genesis-"Track", "Suppers Ready", but Michael Aakerfeldt does a VERY good job in the beginning of the track, and even though it's more than 20 min. long, it is an AWESOME track:

Nik Kershaw? Where's he been?

Come on, Jon, give this track a listen and a little comment, and if you like it I can recommend this album 100%. Nik Kershaw is doing a pretty good job on one of the tracks.

I had heard OF "Supper's Ready", but I'm not so sure, that I had heard all of the track. Now it MIGHT just be among my absolute top 10 tracks of all time, and in some ways this version is better than the original, that I've also been given a few listens lately. I've been listening to this 23 min. long track at least 20 times the past week or so.There's also some VERY good guitar from Hackett on this album, and it's a VERY good production. It's pretty earlt in 2013, but I strongly believe, that this will be at the top of most important albums to me in 2013.

Give me time, I have to find 20+ min to listen. Started last night but then had to kill it.

I've never been the biggest early Genesis fan, but I did like this for the most part. It did get a little bit weird in the middle, but it started off strong and ended with a tast geetar solo. I may have heard the original version at some point in time, but can't remember, parts of this sounded familiar. But seriously, you've listened to this 20 times?

All in all, I liked it, except for those couple minutes!

I've never eiher been a big fan of the Gabriel-era, but this album has kind of changed that. I've also ordered Genesis Revisited 1 from 1996.

20 times doesn't do it. I'm still listening at least once pr. day, and I'm far from done with "Suppers ready". I know, what you mean about the weird part, but when you think about how Peter Gabriel acted on stage in this period, dressed up like a flower and such, and that the original is from 1971, I don't mind that part of the song at all. It reminds me a bit of the Beatles from their "I'm the eggman"-periode. All in all, this track is in my opinon as strong as the last "track" on Abbey Road, Bohemian Rhapsody, Stairway To Heaven or Stargazer. It is definetly the best track at 20 min, or so, that I've ever heard, and probably the best piece of Prog-music ever.

I'm glad you listened and commented.

Okay, I gave it a listen.  See, I am moving outside of my comfort zone.  I liked the first section a good bit.  Just a nice sounding song (though I'd never say it was as good as Bohemian Rhapsody) with some nice geetar work.  The second section didn't work for me, but the last section was decent.

Not enough for me to buy the album, but not a bad listen at all.
