Classic Rock Bottom

Well, we've got "Chickenfoot", "Them Crooked Vutures" and "Black Country Communion", but what if YOU could choose the members of a Supergoup right now, that means no dead rock-stars and not "a young Ginger Baker".

If I could choose, it would be like this:

Drums: Dave Grohl (Yes, him again)

Guitar: Jimmy Page

Bass/Song : Paul McCartney

Leadsinger: Roger Daltrey

How about you?

Mine would be:

Lead Vocals - Brent Smith (Shinedown) - hands down the best current vocalist (Myles Kennedy would be second) and very good songwriter.

Guitar, Backing Vocals - Mark Tremonti (Creed, Alter Bridge) - outstanding guitarist and songwriter.

Bass, Backing Vocals - Robert DeLeo (Stone Temple Pilots) - This guy can play bass very well and is also a very good songwriter. His name is on almost every STP song, check it out.

Drums, Backing Vocals, Co-Lead Vocals - Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Them Crooked Vultures) - Sorry Niels, I'm not trying to rip you off or copy you, but Dave is awesome. He can do it all. And, as with all of my other 3 picks, he's an excellent songwriter.

So there is my Supergroup. Four outstanding songwriters and musicians. I can't wait until their first album comes out.
Okay, that's my "New School" answer. My "Old School" answer would be:

Lead Vocals - Robin Zander (Cheap Trick)

Co-Lead Guitar - Neal Schon (Journey)

Co-Lead Guitar - Phil Collen (Def Leppard)

Bass/Backing Vocals - Kip Winger (Winger)

Drums/Lyricist - Neil Peart (Rush)

Yeah, that would be an ASS-KICKING band!!!

Mine would be:

Lead Guitarist-  Eddie Van Halen of Van Halen
