The best two album covers in this whole tournament did not even make it our of their "own band's tournament"!!
Have any of ya'll called the Eye Doctor??? Both Savatage's "Edge Of Thorns" and "Gutter Ballet" are waaaaayyy better than ANY cover left...or any other Savatage cover. "Dead Winter Dead" is ok, but it's really dark, not colorful, and not full of little "cool things" to check out. I ask again...."did anybody not notice all the little cool things on the Edge Of Thorns cover"?
I'll play, but this tournament is under protest. All of the judges, except me, have issues... (BUH-WAH-HA-HA...)
Hall Of the Mountain King
Blessed And The Damned
Electric Age
Better Than Raw
Practice What You Preach
Aftershock
Peace Sells ("Rust In Peace" is soooo much better!!)
Powerslave
Gutter Ballet, definitely. Edge OF Thorns, while a good cover, doesn't "grab" me as much as Dead Winter Dead.
Don't get why you picked Powerslave when there's billions of little things on the Somewhere In Time cover.
Therefore, I protest your protest.
Yeah, but it's so dark, you really need to see it close up. And Powerslave has light and color, and some pretty cool stuff with the whole Egyptian theme. But "Killers" has a lot of little things, and I was surprised it did not get further.
But "Edge Of Thorns" has that really killer, really cool, "evil face" in the tree branches. And I have not seen it up close lately, but does n't it have a gator, or a crock, in the stream? And that little hotty is....well, a little hotty!!
There's a couple gators in it, but gators don't make an album cover! C'mon!
Savatage - Dead
Iced EArth - Burden
Overkill - Iron
Helloween - Unarmed (tough I like Both)
Testament - Practice
Megadeth - Countdown
Iron Maiden - Power
Alan, you missed Aftershock vs. Bomber...
Bomber has the better cover art.
Sorry. I only voted on the bands that I had all (or close) to every CD. LOL. I voted for which one had the best art, and tried to decide which was the better album too.
But I guess since we are voting on the art only, I can pick a Motorhead CD too.
Maybe start up a CD thread for Motorhead beginners?
