ROCKOLLECTIONS: TURKEY LEFTOVERS PT.2

I am Re-creating a show broadcast Nov. 28th 2006, Seventeen Years Ago, then called Post Turkey Leftovers.

Playing the same things I did then with slight modifications.

For instance, I removed Rattlin’ Bog because I played it recently.

ROCKOLLECTIONS: TURKEY LEFTOVERS PT.1

This was a strange idea, take a show from Nov. 28th 2006, Seventeen Years Old now, and re-create it.

The same thing that happened to me 17 years ago, happened again.

In the Thanksgiving Festivities, I gave no thought to a Rock show.

ROCKOLLECTIONS: THANKSGIVING 2023 PT.2

I have two songs about Going Home in this Chapter.

Just two songs about Going Home because I am only going to include 3 songs.

ROCKOLLECTIONS: THANKSGIVING 2023 PT.1

I was expecting you, just Open The Door and come on in Friend.

That will make more sense after you've heard the opening to the annual Thanksgiving show.

I will set the table, the Thanksgiving table, with a few songs of Peacefulness.

Not always the case at Holiday get-togethers, lol!

And again I remind that you Thanksgiving is the most heavily traveled time in the U.S.

ROCKOLLECTIONS: THE 4 ELEMENTS- WATER PT.6 END

This is it, the Final Chapter with the Final Element, Water.

And it's not lost on me that we use Water to put out Fire, although all go hand in hand.

I'll have Water Songs both Hot and Cool.

A Folk song from a great 1962 album, plus a song by The Who that was only a B-side...TWICE!

And I'll end with an old sentimental favorite of mine.

Continuing the 4 Elements with more Fire Songs.

Bruce Springsteen has written a couple, I'll play one he sang and one he gave away and was a huge hit.

After that, it's another of those Mixed Bag Chapters.

ROCKOLLECTIONS: THE 4 ELEMENTS- FIRE PT.4

I am doing the 4 Elements in Song, and this Episode will be just Fire.

That's the Element I am thinking of the most tunes for, perhaps I am a secret Arsonist, lol!

I'll have a much longer album version of a hit you should know, another I haven't played in a long time and yet another I have never played on the Radio.

The usual presentation of Known, Unknown and Forgotten.

ROCKOLLECTIONS: THE 4 ELEMENTS- AIR/FIRE PT.3

Finally a return to the 4 Elements as defined by the 5th Century B.C. philosopher Empedocles, picking up precisely where I left off with Air.

The delay was because things went awry, boy did they- don't ask, lol!

Weeks went by after I spoke and then spoke again.

After Air, I'll move on to Fire.

Beginning with the best song I could think of for Fire, including the Poem that precedes the song and never gets played anymore.
